About Jackery

Jackery got its start back in 2012, founded by a team of battery tech innovators with a big idea: make renewable energy simple and accessible for everyone. Their vision was to create power solutions that could be used at home or outdoors, all while supporting a cleaner and more sustainable future.

At first, Jackery focused on outdoor lovers, introducing lightweight and durable solar generators that quickly became a must-have for campers, hikers, and adventurers who needed reliable power far from the grid.

Those early wins built Jackery’s strong reputation for both innovation and dependability, qualities that continue to define the brand today.

For more than a decade, Jackery has stuck to strict standards, making sure every product is built with care and precision. Their self-owned factory produces millions of units each year, many of them carrying dozens of certifications from countries around the world.

You can also find Jakery on Amazon if that is more convenient for you.

Jakery Reviews

Jackery products frequently appear in our best product rankings, including best solar generators and best inverter generators.

All of my Jackery units have been working great. Over the past couple of years, I’ve collected four different portable power stations.

Back in 2022, I picked up the Jackery 1000, and this year I added the 3000 HomePower, the 1000 V2 with the 200-watt panels, and finally a refurbished 1000 Plus with the expandable battery pack. Every one of them has performed just as expected. It does take a little time to figure out what to buy and when, but it’s worth the effort. I also recommend creating an account on Jackery’s website since it makes shopping easier.

If you need help, definitely call their support line—emails take a while, but the phone support has always been quick and efficient.

Shipping has always been fast, and I’ve already put these units to good use. The 1000 models are perfect for camping since they can keep the lights, fridge, and other essentials powered all weekend. At home, they’ve been even more valuable.

Do you know the weather in Southern California? Winter power outages are constant whenever the freezing weather and high winds hit. Last year, I only had the 1000 and managed to make it through the season. Now, with the 3000 HomePower running the fridge, another 1000 dedicated to my office and Wi-Fi, the 1000 Plus with an expandable battery for the TV station, and another unit as backup, I finally have everything set up without cords running all over the house.

It’s been a huge upgrade, especially when outages last for days because of utility line maintenance or precautionary shutdowns.

With this setup, I feel prepared and confident heading into winter. My advice is to sign up for an account, keep an eye out for sales, use your reward points for discounts, and don’t overlook the refurbished models. They’ve saved me money and given me dependable power solutions when I’ve needed them most.

Tried to cancel an order after 15…

Tried to cancel an order after 15 minutes as i had ordered another one that came with a 12v cable because it was so difficult for them to add one to my original order , As advised placed another order with the cable bundle of which i ended up paying the same as if had bought it on its own. Then tried to cancel the original order this was all in 15 minutes and 24 hours later they are both shipping talk about confusion - jackery customer service responses are so sporadic. If you cannot cancel an order after 15 minutes and make the process a little easier then leave the market , after 3 days they did sort it all out and refunded me the money , and it turned up fast just wish the whole situation had been easier but all sorted

Skip the nightmare

Very unprofessional and unknowledgeable about their own product, constantly excusing and blaming the technician on site for not sending them what they need after sending what they needed multiple times. Also very inexperienced with talking with a tech, constantly wanting to talk to the home owner which called us because she is unfamiliar on what is installed and having issues after 3 months. I normally do not like knocking companies, but customer service isn't available on the phone and you barely get anywhere after 10 days! This is excessive for any company to not have power on something that is supposed to help with a blackout. We are usually in and out when we get called same or two day period at the most!

High quality and easy to use

High quality and easy to use. The display indicates how much power charge is left and how much time is left at the current usage rate. The shipping packing was top quality and very professional. They even provided very nice carrying cases for the two sets of solar panels. I am totally impressed, and it comes with a 5-year warranty!

Worked Well at First, but Battery Degraded and Customer Service Fell Short for This Canadian Buyer

I purchased my Jackery Explorer 300 on Amazon.ca back in October 2022. For the first while it performed well, and because I used it only lightly, I expected it to last for years. Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case. Recently, I noticed the battery draining from 100% to 0% within just a few days, even when the unit wasn’t being used. For a product marketed for reliability and long-term standby power, this was surprising and very disappointing. When I reached out to Jackery support, I explained the situation and my concern that the battery might no longer be functioning properly. Their response was courteous, but ultimately not very helpful for me. I was told that they cannot accept trade-ins or repairs from Canada due to shipping restrictions. The only option offered was to ship the unit back using a U.S. address—which I don’t have—which means repairs or warranty support are effectively inaccessible unless you can cross the border or know someone who can help.As an alternative, they offered a 25% discount on a comparable new unit from their Canadian website. While I appreciate the gesture, it still feels frustrating to be left without practical repair service for a product that hasn’t seen heavy use and is experiencing what seems like premature battery failure. Overall, the Explorer 300 is a convenient, portable power station when it works, but my experience with long-term reliability and the limited support options for Canadian customers makes it difficult to recommend. If you’re in Canada, be aware that repair or replacement options may be very restrictive. I'd definitely suggest looking at other options!

Customer service response in the UK is…

Customer service response in the UK is miserable, i have been sent several emails asking for the same information by different customer service representatives. It has taken 3 weeks to only get asked AGAIN for the same info.Sent several videos of the problem then to be told to send the original information again.Looks like i wont get my unit fixed \ problem resolved any time soon. The products are great but the day 2 service is very poor. This is why i wouldn't recommend purchasing these products, i have bought 2 but wish i hadn't now and spent my money on a different brand.UPDATE..I have been contacted by Jackery and they have sent me a brand new power station, this is much appreciated. Thanks !!

Jackery HomePower 3000 Caveat Emptor (Buyer Beware)

I have recently purchased a Jackery HomePower 3000 to replace a 2000Wh unit (not Jackery) that failed. Although the 2000Wh unit consistently met all my needs, I thought it might be wise to upgrade to a higher capacity unit. Imagine my surprise when I discover that my new HomePower 3000 can't even boil water on an induction cook top. It keeps tripping the overload at a mere 1600W on a unit that claims to have 3600W output (7200W surge). Previous Jackery models also had this problem and Jackery still has not yet bothered to resolve this issue!Further to this, I discover that I have purchased a severely crippled unit, with no onboard functionality whatsoever. I can not properly monitor, check, or even resolve the issue I am having, since, as per Edel at Jackery, my 'Solar Generator' is actually configured to work as a 'UPS' by default. This is not what I believed I was purchasing! I do not and will not carry a smart phone, something that is a growing trend, especially among those choosing off grid life where there may not even be WiFi or Internet service. Since there is no laptop or external monitor support either, I can not properly monitor or use this product. Failing to disclose these severe shortcomings is not only deceptive, it is unethical, and possibly even illegal. Had I known this was a crippled, useless device, I would not have purchased it! As a retired senior living in a van in order to survive on the whopping $2000/month pension the Canadian government expects people to survive on, spending an entire months income on the most essential part of my van, indeed the one thing I most depend on to survive, only to find out that I have purchased a deliberately crippled product that carries an unresolved fault (incompatibility with induction cook tops), something Jackery was well aware of with earlier models, yet did not resolve in new models, is totally unacceptable. This has left me feeling like I have been cheated with no way to resolve this. Therefore, I can not in good conscience recommend Jackery to anybody!Caveat Emptor (Buyer Beware)FOLLOW UP FOR THOSE INTERESTED: These are the last two emails reflecting how things were left. Please judge for yourself.HelloThank you for your detailed explanation. I have consulted our technical support team and here is their feedback:Induction cooktops are inductive loads, which means they generate a very high inrush (surge) power when heating.Although your cooktop is rated at 1500–1800W, the instantaneous surge can reach up to 5 times the rated power — for example:5 × 1500W = 7500W,which exceeds the power surge limit of the HomePower 3000.This is why the unit triggers F6 (AC overload protection) and shuts off.If your induction cooktop supports incremental power level adjustments, we recommend increasing the power gradually, instead of jumping to a high level at once. This can help avoid the large instantaneous surge and reduce the likelihood of overload. Please note that surge events happen in a very short time, and the power display on the HP3000 may not react quickly enough to show the spike before the protection is triggered.Warm regards,> > Vivi> > Team Jackery--------------------------------------------------------------My reply:Thank you, you have just verified what I have been complaining about, that being that the HP3000 does not function properly with inductive loads. It is worth mentioning that electric motors, compressors (used in refrigerators and freezers), washing machines, dishwashers, furnace blower motors, vacuum cleaners, space heaters, ceiling fans, air conditioners, and most power tools are also inductive loads, and therefore also potential problems. My micro hot water on demand heater (1800 W) also trips the HP3000, so it has also been rendered unusable.I did not have any of these problems with my old 2 kWh system.Expecting your device to work with inductive loads, especially when your competitors products, and my previous lower rated unit (2 kWh vs 3 kWh), do not exhibit these issues, does not seem like an unreasonable expectation to me. So, just to recap, this unit IS NOT able to handle inductive loads properly in my off grid van application, you guys have no solution for this issue, and the bulk of its controls and functionality remain inaccessible to me without a smart phone. Have I missed anything? Because it appears none of my statements regarding your product were inaccurate and therefore this is a CRIPPLED device, and I AM justified in feeling like I have been cheated by a product I can not afford to replace AGAIN!!
