M&S Return & Refund

You may return unused products within 35 days of purchase with a printed return note. All returns should be made in their original condition:

  • Item(s) should be in an unworn and unused condition.

  • Multi-pack items must all be returned together

  • 3 for 2 items can be returned individually but will be refunded based on the promotional price paid.

  • If the original purchase contained a free item, this item must also be returned.

  • Items with hygiene seals must be returned with the seals intact ( swimwear, underwear, duvets, etc).

Exceptions: Bra, accessories, earrings for pierced ears, open beddings or face coverings.

If you need to return a damaged/faulty item, you should email to the M&S customer support team address.

Missing order has been 'destroyed'

Had a message saying my order delivery was delayed and waited a week or so for my order. When I checked the tracking today it said my parcel had been 'destroyed' a week after it was dispatched. At no point did M&S contact me to inform me of this, nor did they re-send the order. When I asked why not they said that the courier hadn't informed them. Surely it is not up to their customers to chase up orders that have been 'destroyed'! They did offer me a £5 voucher but didn't offer to resend the order! I had to ask them to do that ! I'm so sick of the poor service I get from M&S and for the lack of response I've had to complaints in the past.

Great goods and great service

I was put off ordering my favourite M and S jeans, because of all the negative reviews I read here. Instead I ordered jeans from another high street store, at over twice the price of M and S ones. They turned out to be a huge disappointment (way too long for regular length and the supposedly straight leg were horribly baggy). Missing my favourite M and S Sienna straight leg jeans, I decided to take the risk of ordering them and I am so glad I did. The process was smooth and fault free from start to finish. They were ready to collect on my chosen day, were exactly what I ordered (length and fit perfect as always) and the staff in store were extremely helpful.

I purchased 2 different mini loaf cakes…

I purchased 2 different mini loaf cakes and scones for a family afternoon tea I was doing . I bought them on the 10th and the had the sell by date of the 11th which I didn’t realise and they were as dry as old boots ! At £4.75 each I was very disappointed and actually embarrassed to serve them . I urge you to pick carefully when buying theses products.

M&S Cranberry and Toasted Pecan Baton is Absolutely sublime. If you like cranberries and pecan nuts give it a try folks. You will not be dissapointed. It's a real treat.

Terrible on line service. Goods did not arrive for next day delivery. chased so they reordered, stating he’s refunded some of the items as no longer available when I shouldn’t be charged for them anyway. Nightmare and no manager to speak to at 4.30

I am absolutely furious with how M&S…

I am absolutely furious with how M&S has handled a recent click-and-collect order at one of their stores.I realised I wouldn’t be able to collect my parcel before the reduced 5-day window, so I phoned customer services. After a clear conversation, the agent assured me they had extended the collection date by several days. Based on this reassurance, I cancelled alternative arrangements — including asking an elderly family member to make a long journey to collect it for me.Despite this, the parcel was not held, and the key item — a child’s Christmas gift that has been out of stock for months — is now unavailable again. One sibling’s gift arrived without any issue, and the other will now receive nothing purely because M&S gave incorrect information and failed to action a basic request.I had a backup plan. I acted responsibly. M&S told me everything was fine when it very clearly wasn’t.The result? A ruined Christmas present, unnecessary stress for my family, and a complete loss of trust in a brand I’ve been loyal to for years.This level of incompetence is astonishing. An absolute failure of customer service from start to finish.

Gone downhill

The quality of clothing has gone down really downhill over the last decade. You used to be able to get a good pair of trousers from M&S back in 2015, but now to "maintain" the same price point for trousers, you end up with the worst trousers ever made. Incredibly bad stitching, incorrect leg measurements - a complete lack of quality control.I am never buying clothing from this company ever again.

Don’t buy a real Xmas tree

Don’t buy a real Xmas tree. Absolutely farcical. Took day off work. Tree didn’t turn up till 8pm. When I first chased M&S they wanted me to stay in another 24hrs to make sure it would turn up. Despite me saying I could not do this due to work. It finally tuned up. This tree was originally £300, including a skirt, tree stand and lights. Apparently 7ft too.Well let me tell you what I got. A 5ft 3inch tree (same height as me). Worth about £70 maybe at a local xmas tree farm. Add the tree skirt price, etc. £300?? I got it on offer, but this is not the point. Should still be worth the original amount. Plus it smells of cheesy vomit. So this is not just a tree, it’s an M&S dwarf, vomit smelling, falsely advertised tree. A disgrace. Never again.

REFUNDS ARE TAKING FAR FAR TOO LONG

Ordered a coat on 21 Nov was to have been delivered on 29 Nov 2025, but was in fact delivered earlier so:Payment taken on 26 Nov, returned via the Ilkley store and receipt for return e-mailed to me 26 Nov. As at today 10 December 2025 yet another note saying they are hoping to refund my account asap(second note from them). So from 26 November to date 10 December I AM STILL WAITING FOR MY REFUND. I have said to M and S often that these delays are unacceptable far too long a waiting time and if they can debit my account on the day item leaves their hands then 5 working days after return is made is more than enough time to wait for a refund. I expect other people may feel the same. 11 December - still awaiting a refund

Hamper delivery wasnt even attempted

I ordered a hamper and picked a future date (9 days after order) at 7am on the day of delivery i got an email saying sorry we missed you! They hadn't even attempted to deliver it! I know its a busy time of year but ordering in advance there is no excuse

I bought the pecorino chorizo tortilla…

I bought the pecorino chorizo tortilla christmas nibbles. 12 in a box at a cost of £7.50. So disappointed they were so small barely a mouthful. I followed the instructions and left them for a few minutes before trying to get them out of the tin foil containers but they would not come out and were stuck and disintegrated.

Ordered some aftershave and empty envelope arrived

Ordered some aftershave on line. Got an email and text to say it had arrived. Went to collect. All they had was an empty padded envelope with my name and order number on it. No aftershave. The assistant said she'd order a replacement but it was entirely out of stock. Had to request a refund. Shockingly bad service.

Despite cattle farms in The Netherlands…

Despite cattle farms in The Netherlands and over much of Scandinavia stopping the use of bovaer due to cattle dying after being poisoned by the additive, M&S still seem to be adding this chemical into their dairy products …. Why no public announcement of an immediate halt to this practice?What will happen after a customer dies and it’s linked to bovaer?

Terrible customer service and experience taking an unworn item back for a refund with tags and a receipt in less than 24 hrs. Stadium branch in Milton Keynes - I will never shop here again. The worst service I have ever had.

Smoked salmon

Walked around the shop then looked on the smoked salmon! The salmon was stretched all over the pack ! Looked like a big portion , when I looked at the back it was only 50 gram! But was 5 pounds!. What a nice trick! I hope people do look on what they are buying . M&S are very expensive !

No help for a disabled 90 year old Lady

If I could give a zero star I would. Took my friend to the Gemini store today. Shes 90 years old. Shes really struggling with mobility, and dosnt get out of the house much. Having saved all year for M & S vouchers. We arrived at the store. I asked for a wheelchair. But was told "sorry we don't have any" Had no option but to take my friend back home. She was extremely upset. I telephone and raised the complaint with a manager. Again they said " sorry" I said its really not good enough. Even supermarkets provide weehchairs. We really don't want to give Mark's & Spencer any custom my friend would love to spend the vouchrrs else were. They offered us £10 in compensation. Which was refused.

I ordered three tops for my Mum for Christmas. They arrived like three old rags shoved into the packaging. Lazy and disgusting. Shame on them, M&S used to be a good brand. Won’t use them again.
