Absolutely terrible on every level. They don't stand behind what they sell and the warranty is useless. Getting a live person on the phone takes forever, and good luck understanding them when you do. The software is poorly designed and frustrating to use when you're trying to view old recordings. Buying Night Owl was the worst decision I could have made.

I'd suggest avoiding this company. I bought one of their cameras and it was defective. They provided a return label, I sent it back, and weeks went by with no refund or any word from them. The one generic email I got after three weeks didn't explain anything, especially why they had my camera for four weeks without processing a refund. I think they're running a scam and I've filed a complaint with the BBB. From what I see online, I doubt they care about their reputation anyway.

Skip this model entirely. The hard drive doesn't work. Customer support is no help whatsoever. Total waste of money.

I got the FTD series Night Owl system from a retailer and it's been a huge letdown. The human detection feature doesn't work at all. It sends constant alerts for trash cans, cigarette butts, bugs, branches, and everything else. I get so many false alarms that I had to turn off notifications because my phone was buzzing nonstop. I've bought four different Night Owl systems over time, but if you want something that can actually tell the difference between a tree branch and a person, look at other brands.

Terrible experience overall. First off, you're stuck waiting forever just to talk to someone. When you finally reach tech support, they're basically useless. They'll keep you on the line or put you on hold until you give up and hang up if they can't fix things quickly. Follow-up? Don't count on it.

Absolutely the worst customer service I've experienced! The cameras themselves are cheap and not terrible in terms of quality for the price, but whatever you do, avoid needing any customer support. It basically doesn't exist. I've called more than 10 times and couldn't get a real person on the phone or through online chat. They play a recording promising someone will contact you, but nobody ever does. Their chatbot just repeats the same troubleshooting steps over and over. You'll never talk to an actual human. Save yourself and go with Hikvision instead. They're miles ahead. Don't throw your money away on Night Owl.

I need to alert other parents about Night Owl's unethical business practices. I made a mistake with my order and contacted them right away to cancel. They refused to help and instead lectured me about why they don't do refunds. After a week of nothing, I got an email saying they wouldn't respond to my request anymore. It's shocking that a company selling to stressed, sleep-deprived parents would ignore a simple mistake instead of handling it professionally. What really concerns me is that this company openly deletes customer reviews on their site if they think they're unfair, which means their website only shows glowing 5-star reviews. That's not honest representation. They care more about their profits and shipping schedules than treating people decently. I'd suggest going elsewhere.

Had a lot of trouble trying to reset my password and the only help available was a chatbot that was completely useless and had nothing useful to say. Just the same robotic responses every time. There's no real artificial intelligence at Night Owl. The actual equipment works okay, but they desperately need a real person answering help requests. It's not that hard.

Night Owl is awful. It misses tons of important video. Total money down the drain. It'll record useless stuff all day but won't capture what you actually need.

Worst customer service ever. All my cameras went offline for some unknown reason with a service error message. I called the support team and the guy was incredibly rude from the start. You could hear the attitude in his voice right away. When I explained what was happening, he told me to just buy new ones because there's nothing they can do.

Complete waste of money. The system quits after 30 days. This is a terrible product. I'm begging you, look somewhere else.

The cameras have serious recording issues. They record constantly with nothing to capture, and it seems like they rotate which camera does this. I decided to switch to Ring cameras instead, even with the subscription costs. Way better quality. Don't buy this.

This system has major problems with how it records. It just keeps filming nonstop with nothing happening, and different cameras seem to take turns doing it. I ended up buying 2 Ring cameras instead and they work so much better even though I pay a subscription. Skip this brand entirely.
