Purchased a pair of Nikes from the store in Palatine, IL. After wearing them just a few times for about a week, the stitching between the sole and the upper started falling apart. When I brought them back to return them, the store refused because they'd been worn, even though it was clearly a manufacturing defect. The manager was dismissive and unhelpful. Now I'm stuck paying to ship them directly to Nike myself. I won't be coming back to Rack Room Shoes.

Ordered two pairs of Ryka sneakers and both arrived in the wrong size. I ordered a size 8W but got what appeared to be a size 9W even though the label said 8W. The fit was way too big. I've always had good luck with Ryka shoes before this. When I tried to return them, I found out I have to pay for the return shipping myself. I don't think I should be paying when it's their mistake and faulty product. Their website description about returns is vague and doesn't make it clear you pay shipping. Plus using FedEx takes forever, almost a week to arrive from California to New York. Absolutely unacceptable and I'm done shopping here.

The website is terrible. Management constantly makes employees handle everything through the site, but then they ignore those same employees when they ask for basic things like a W2 form.

This website is awful. I ordered a pair of Hey Dudes that came in the wrong size. Apparently they charge a $30 restocking fee to return them. When I went to exchange for the correct size, somehow two pairs got sent to me instead of one. I had to return the extra pair and got charged another $30 fee. This is absolutely ridiculous.

I'm never buying from Rack Room Shoes again. The reason they can offer buy one get one half off deals is because both pairs come defective in the same location. I bought two different colors of the same shoe and within less than two weeks of wearing them, they both ripped in exactly the same spot. They're selling poor quality shoes that fall apart in less than a month.

I will not be shopping here again. I sent in shoes for an exchange and requested a refund instead. It's been several weeks and my refund still hasn't arrived. I also didn't realize there were no store locations near where I live, since I'd bought from them out of state. That meant I had to cover the cost to ship the shoes back myself, which was really frustrating. Never again.

I have an issue with their return policy. If I'm paying cash, have my receipt, and return the shoes within a week, I should get my money back, not a gift card. This policy has completely changed how I shop and honestly I'm not coming back anymore.
