Sorted by: Most recentAvoid AA Vacations - Major Disappointment with Cruise Booking We reserved an accessible cabin through them for a cruise. They had all our details and held our payment method on file. According to them, they sent an email about the final payment deadline, but it never came through. Our reservation got cancelled without warning. While we did eventually get our money back, the real problem came when we booked with a different agent from the same company. She managed to get us into a cabin at a similar price point, except it wasn't accessible - something I genuinely need for my health. Since she already had our card information saved, she went ahead and rebooked everything without checking if the new cabin would work for us. The first agent, who was brand new, definitely could have just charged the balance on our $3,000 deposit instead of letting the whole thing fall through. Why would we have wanted to cancel in the first place? Not having an accessible cabin is going to make this arctic expedition way harder for me personally. The only reason we even rebooked was because we'd already paid for non-refundable business class flights. My honest opinion: steer clear of AA Vacations if you're booking a cruise. They're a massive company that treats everyone like a transaction rather than building real relationships. Find a travel agent who actually gets to know you, listens to your needs, and follows up when something doesn't add up!
