Sorted by: Most recentAcademy Mortgage in the Lakewood area is hands down the worst lender I've dealt with. They suck you in with promises and then completely mislead you about how the whole home buying thing works. We got a fake approval letter, had to jump through endless hoops just to get near closing, and after nearly 3 months of dealing with them, one day before we were supposed to close the whole thing fell apart because our real approval amount was way less than what they said. They knew this the entire time but kept stringing us along anyway. On top of everything else, we were treated with total disrespect and felt discriminated against throughout the whole process.
