Acuvue Brand Contact Lenses Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Acuvue Brand Contact Lenses
Acuvue Brand Contact Lenses receives overwhelmingly negative feedback, with 24 shoppers rating the store 1.6 out of 5. The most consistent complaint centers on the rebate program, which multiple reviewers describe as nearly impossible to claim despite being offered. Shoppers report receiving little to no response when attempting to contact customer service about rebates, with some eventually resorting to BBB complaints before receiving assistance. Beyond rebate issues, several reviewers report quality concerns: lenses becoming cloudy or falling apart prematurely, reduced wear time compared to previous versions, vision appearing dull or yellowish, and difficulty removing lenses without eye discomfort. One reviewer noted a perceived change in lens composition after packaging redesign.
A small number of shoppers express satisfaction with the actual lens product itself, particularly the Oasys two-week variety for comfort and dryness resistance. However, positive experiences are heavily overshadowed by frustration with customer service responsiveness and the rebate redemption process. Even reviewers who have used Acuvue for decades report being driven away by recent quality deterioration and service issues. The consensus suggests that while the lenses may work acceptably for some, systemic problems with rebate administration and customer support have significantly damaged brand loyalty.

Sorted by: Most recentThe Oasys lenses are pretty good. My eyes don't feel dry when I use the two-week Oasys contacts. The problem is I don't get why they even offer a rebate if nobody can actually claim it. I've tried multiple times to get my rebate and it's basically impossible.
Don't waste your money on these lenses. They are by far the worst experience I've had with Acuvue. My vision is dull, my eye looks yellowish, and everything appears cloudy. It was money thrown away. The company never took any action to help. Really disappointed.
These daily lenses have been a nightmare and cost me way too much. It's more like a 4 hour wear situation. When they changed the packaging, they also changed what the lenses are made from. Every time I remove them, I have to dig around in my eye, and then they just get cloudy again. Total junk product. I tried contacting the company and got no response. Look for other options out there. Don't waste your hard-earned money putting this garbage in your eyes.
Update: After filing a complaint with the BBB, Acuvue finally sent me a replacement gift card. I'm changing my rating to 3 stars, but keeping my original review below since it was still a hassle. I've worn Acuvue for years, but their rebate program really turned me off the brand. My eye doctor said I could get a $100 rebate after buying lenses through their office. The process to claim it was messy and took forever. I had to submit documents both online and by mail. Once I finished everything, I got a $100 gift card. What I didn't know was the fine print said it expired after six months. When I tried to use it, it had already passed the deadline. Since rebates are supposed to thank loyal customers, I asked if they'd reissue a new one. They said no and wouldn't budge. That's when I decided to ask my doctor to switch my prescription at my next visit. I won't be buying from Acuvue anymore.
I've been wearing them for more than 30 years, but I've seen the quality drop when it comes to how long they actually last. Since I don't wear contacts every day, I've always used the two-week variety. Back in the day, they'd only start falling apart at the very end of the two weeks. Lately though, they start falling apart after just one week of wearing them. And their rebate process is a pain. They want a photo of the boxes, a photo of the receipt, and the actual physical receipt. All that work just to get a prepaid Mastercard instead of real money back.
This company is infuriating. Getting their rebate is nearly impossible. I actually like the contacts themselves, but the rebate situation is ridiculous. I sent an email and heard nothing for two weeks. When I called, they told me to email instead. This is giving me anxiety. Just pay the extra money and go with a different brand so you don't have to chase down the rebate they promised you.
I've been using these lenses for several years, but the quality has taken a real nosedive over the past year. Something changed with them, but I'm not sure what. They get really cloudy super fast. I only wear them for a day or two before throwing them away, even though they're designed for two weeks. My eyes feel irritated, and honestly, I'm considering giving up on contacts altogether. It's sad because they used to be really good lenses.
Terrible company and terrible lenses. Don't buy from them. They reel you in with rebates and rewards promises, then lie to you when you try to actually get them processed. They claim they lost my mail. I resent a soft copy through email and they just ignore it even after waiting 6 to 8 weeks. I'm switching to Costco or trying a different brand. Horrible customer service and rewards team. They need new people in those departments or should just use AI since that would probably work better.
After six months of trying, I finally gave up on getting my rebate. The eye doctor I really like just lost me as a customer because of this whole mess. I've kept them updated on how Acuvue has been treating me, and honestly, it's affected my relationship with them too. They should stop working with Acuvue at this point.
I've been an Acuvue customer for thirty years, but I'm switching brands next year. The company keeps pulling shady tactics. Their 'year' supply only actually lasts 11 months, which is already frustrating. Now they're messing with their rebate program too. I followed all their instructions exactly, and I even spent $11 of my own money shipping my original receipt to them. Then they rejected my rebate for purchasing a one-year supply of Acuvue Oasis lenses, claiming my eye doctor's receipt doesn't have all the details they want. I can clearly see from the pictures of the boxes I sent what I purchased, but apparently that's not good enough. They sent me a list of items the receipt needs to show, but I can't control how the doctor formats it, especially when insurance is involved. These con artists are deliberately refusing to give customers the rebates they earned. After three decades of loyalty, I'm done with them and will order a different brand.
