What Shoppers Say About AllergyBuyersClub.com
AllergyBuyersClub.com has a polarized customer base, rated 2.1 out of 5 by 7 shoppers. The small group of satisfied customers praise the company's warranty service and willingness to replace defective products without hassle. However, the majority of reviewers report serious problems including products that arrive broken or fail shortly after purchase, extremely slow or unresponsive customer service via phone and email, restrictive return policies that don't match website descriptions, and lack of transparency regarding actual manufacturer information and support details.
Recurring issues center on product quality and durability, particularly with humidifiers and dehumidifiers that underperform or malfunction within months of purchase. Shoppers also express frustration with the company's reluctance to honor stated return policies for opened items and difficulty reaching customer support to resolve disputes. Several reviewers note that follow-up attempts to address problems went unanswered for extended periods.

Sorted by: Most recentGot the PowerPure 5000 Aerus Warm & Cool Mist Ultrasonic Humidifier back in December and ran it all through the winter without any issues. Used it again in November no problem. Then in December it completely stopped working. I called customer service and their answer was that it must have gotten damaged during shipping. Except that was over a year ago. No apology, no replacement, nothing. A hundred dollars wasted. Don't bother with this.
Purchased a high-end dehumidifier that arrived broken. It takes about 7 hours just to kick in and then runs at a snail's pace, which is not what you'd expect from something marketed as high power and commercial grade. Checked the manual and there's zero actual manufacturer information listed. The phone number in the manual? That's just the company's customer service line. Turns out this whole thing is manufactured overseas just for them. Getting a return is practically impossible. They keep telling you to troubleshoot instead of honoring returns. The troubleshooting process drags on for days and it's enough to drive you absolutely insane. I'm already dealing with a lot managing this property remotely, and I really needed a dependable dehumidifier after getting mold taken care of. Instead I got a lemon with weird problems that don't make any sense.
This company really came through for me. I bought a dehumidifier that started having problems within the warranty period. We tried troubleshooting but it just wasn't fixable, so they replaced it right away without making a fuss. Definitely planning to order from them again.
Wanted to grab a Talalay pillow from their site but ran into an issue. They force you to buy them as a pair instead of letting you purchase just one. Their website says you can return opened pillows, so I figured I'd order the set and send back the one I didn't want since it would still be in the original sealed packaging. Nope. Turns out they won't let you return any pillows at all, even the ones that never left the factory packaging. So you're forced to buy two, and if you're not happy with them, tough luck because they won't take back the unopened one despite making it sound like you could. Total bait and switch. I've been a customer for years but I'm done. Never again.
Back in late November, I called and spoke with a manager to order a dehumidifier over the phone. After providing my credit card information, we scheduled delivery for about two weeks later. The unit never showed up on schedule. I tried reaching out through online chat but got nowhere. I sent several emails and made multiple phone calls over the next few weeks with no response whatsoever. When I finally got someone on the phone in early January, they were dismissive and told me the item was no longer in stock. They refused to offer any discount on an alternative unit at the same price point I'd already committed to. Their excuse was that the manager was busy with meetings since it was their peak season and staff were learning about new inventory. Pretty unacceptable that he wouldn't pick up the phone or answer any of my messages. Save yourself the headache and shop elsewhere. This company has serious inventory problems and the customer service is genuinely awful. I'm now getting my dehumidifiers from a different supplier.
Ordered a comforter cover that turned out to be exactly what I didn't want based on their description. It felt hot, stiff, and made this annoying noise every time I moved. I've tried contacting them multiple times by phone and email asking about returning it or getting a different one, but nobody's been responsive. Between the disappointing quality and the nonexistent support, I'm really let down by this purchase.
I've purchased multiple air purifiers and dehumidifiers from this place over time. They manufacture their own products which makes finding reliable reviews tough, and honestly my kids gave me grief about buying something without good ratings online. But I'm here to tell you these dehumidifiers perform incredibly well, work like a charm, and use very little power. Their chat support actually helps you figure out which unit you need. Here's what sold me: I bought one of their industrial dehumidifiers and left it in the box for several months. When I finally opened it, the feet were missing. Even though I was way past the return window, I called and the replacement feet showed up at my door the very next morning. Sure, you might find their stuff for less money somewhere, but you won't get better customer service anywhere else. My sister had a dehumidifier stop working in her damp basement, and they just sent a replacement without asking any questions. These folks are genuinely kind, know what they're talking about, and won't push you to buy stuff you don't actually need.
