The speed and connection quality are great but customer service is a nightmare. When you have billing questions and talk to someone they quote you one price, then when they activate your service there's an extra charge on top for processing fees plus whatever late charges have piled up.
These guys lie constantly about outages. Last week my cable box started freezing during shows for like 5 minutes at a time. I rebooted everything myself first, then called. The automated system immediately said there was a known outage in my area and promised a callback the next morning, which they did call. But when I spoke with the rep he claimed he had no record of any outage. I'm fed up with their overpriced service and total lack of competence.
I kept getting mailers about promotions every three days for months. When I went to order they said they couldn't find the offer I was holding in my hand. I signed up anyway, but on installation day the technician fiddled around forever with the cables and then decided my home wasn't serviceable since the cable from the pole to my house was broken. When I asked when it could be fixed they just blacklisted my address instead of actually helping. It's ridiculous that they won't splice some cable to connect new customers. Everyone else in my neighborhood has cable and works fine.
They were mailing me promotional flyers every few days for months. When I finally decided to call and sign up, they claimed they had no record of the offer that was literally printed on the flyer in my hands. I went ahead and signed up anyway. Installation day came and the technician spent an hour playing with cables before announcing my place couldn't be serviced because the external cable line coming from the telephone pole was damaged. I asked when they could come fix it, and instead of helping they marked my address as unserviceable and refused to do anything. I live in an area with lots of homes, everyone around me has cable service and gets the same flyers. They won't even run twenty feet of cable to connect me because they're too lazy to do the work.

What an absolutely fantastic experience this was! My cable box suddenly stopped working right in the middle of an important game. I set up an appointment the day before and this wonderful technician arrived and got everything fixed for me. What a great guy to work with! He diagnosed the issue pretty quickly, only took around ten minutes, and found that the power connector was faulty. He got it working right away. Such a knowledgeable and courteous person.
