What Shoppers Say About Autom
Autom is rated 1.0 out of 5 by 5 shoppers, and reviews are overwhelmingly negative. Customers report significant concerns about hidden fees, including a 12% tariff surcharge added to orders after advertised prices, substantial shipping and freight charges that inflate final costs well above competitor pricing, and strict return policies that prevent exchanges on discounted items. Additional complaints include payment processing issues, unresponsive customer service, missing or severely delayed orders, and products that do not match descriptions, such as items arriving in cheap materials rather than advertised premium ones.
Shopper experiences with Autom's support have been consistently frustrating. Callers report reaching unhelpful or rude representatives at call centers unable to track orders, lengthy email response times, and difficulty obtaining refunds or exchanges. Payment disputes appear to linger unresolved, and quality control issues have resulted in customers paying substantially more than the actual value of received merchandise. No positive experiences are reflected in current reviews.

Sorted by: Most recentHad a situation where someone at my workplace ordered something without my knowledge, and I ended up liable for the bill. Once I found out, I mailed a check immediately. Nearly a month has gone by and they're claiming they still haven't gotten it. When I tried placing another order recently, they refused because they said they don't have my payment. So I asked if I could pay by phone with a check and they said sure, but then backed out saying our company's check account number was too short. Fine, I offered to use a credit card instead and gave them all my details. Turns out they cancelled everything because they're still waiting for that check. The ridiculous part is they have a different address they're supposed to bill to but never told me that. This whole thing has been an endless nightmare with zero help from their customer service team. Do not order from this company.
Watch out, they've started charging a 12% Tariff Surcharge on top of everything else! The crazy shipping charges that other customers have complained about are bad enough, but this new fee is the final straw. Sure, their advertised prices look lower than other retailers, but once you calculate all their hidden fees and surcharges, you end up paying the same amount or MORE than competitors. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere.
Steer clear of this place. The shipping costs are way too high and they tack on an additional freight fee on top of that. If something happens to be discounted, you're stuck with it because returns and exchanges aren't allowed. I called customer service to get advice about sizing and the representative was completely unhelpful. When my order showed up, the item was way bigger than expected. I'm unable to return it and I'm out the money. I'll never shop here again. The worst part is that when I asked about returning items, the customer service person never mentioned the no-return policy for sale merchandise. Total disaster.
Someone referred me to this company and I placed an order. My items never showed up. When I called to find out where my order was, I got transferred to a rude call center that had no idea how to track anything down. After emailing them, it took forever to get a response, and when I finally did, they basically told me to deal with the shipping company myself. They couldn't be bothered to take responsibility for missing packages or do anything to make it right. And despite unsubscribing multiple times, I keep getting their marketing emails and ads. At this point I had no choice but to dispute the charge with my credit card company. This place is a total waste of time. Do not give them your money.
Ordered what was supposed to be a granite grotto back in July. Didn't get it until September and when it finally arrived, it wasn't granite at all. It was a cheap plastic grotto that looked hollow when I examined it. I paid $200 for something that's worth maybe $30. When I called about returning it, they told me they'd have to track down the vendor's address first. Apparently they don't handle their own returns or refunds. Before you buy anything from them, be absolutely certain it's what you want because they might send you a plastic knockoff instead.
