What Shoppers Say About Beats Electronics
Beats Electronics products receive predominantly negative feedback, with shoppers frequently criticizing the value proposition and build quality. Reviewers report that audio quality is average or underwhelming for the price point, with complaints about weak bass response, volume limitations, and durability issues including peeling materials and deteriorating ear padding. Some users also experience technical problems such as speaker rattling, poor noise cancellation, and repetitive battery warning messages that interfere with listening. A small segment of satisfied customers praise certain models like the Beats Pill when purchased on sale, noting good value at discounted prices and compatibility benefits for Apple device users.
The most consistent complaint centers on pricing versus performance. Multiple shoppers indicate that Beats products are substantially overpriced relative to their sound quality and construction standards, with one reviewer estimating their three-hundred-dollar purchase was worth a fraction of that amount after only a year of use. Comfort is another recurring issue, with extended wear causing discomfort for some users. Despite these widespread concerns, a minority of reviewers report acceptable experiences, particularly when products are purchased at significant discounts rather than full retail price.

Sorted by: Most recentI've had my Solo 3 for two years and while there have been minor Bluetooth connection problems throughout, they're genuinely some of the best constructed headphones I've used. Besides some leather wear around the ear cups they've been my go-to brand. Unfortunately right now I can't use them because they drop connection immediately when I connect to my phone. I've spent hours trying different solutions online but nothing works - I can't even finish one song without them disconnecting.
I purchased a pair of beats x before lockdown started. Since I wasn't going to the gym, I didn't touch them for half a year and the battery drained completely. Now I'm out of warranty because of the time that passed during lockdown and I'm stuck with a dead product. It's frustrating that such a large company sells products with weak durability and offers no real consumer protection.
