Completely worthless. Their contact form on the website doesn't even function properly so you can't reach them that way. Amazon refused to take the return either.
Stay away from equipment using the new overhead valve engine. This thing is absolute junk and you'll regret buying anything with it. The plastic carburetor gets clogged super easily because the jet opening is tiny. Hit a stump or root while mowing and you're looking at catastrophic failure. The flywheel key shears off so it won't start, and they definitely made it weak on purpose so you'd buy another. The cheap plastic timing gears can skip teeth. If you're really unlucky you'll have to adjust the valve clearance yourself. Search online for real reviews on this engine and you'll see what I mean. Do yourself a favor and don't purchase any piece of equipment running this motor. This isn't the Briggs and Stratton that people used to know and trust, it's turned into a profit-driven company cutting corners everywhere. Before 2021 their stuff was solid, but new products are garbage. Get something else instead. Consider yourself warned.
Absolutely frustrating warranty experience. I own a brand new mower under the Victa brand and it had an issue with the handle right out of the box on first use. The manual that came with it doesn't explain how to file a warranty claim at all. When I called for help, they directed me to where I bought it. The retailer spent a week trying to reach them, and when they finally connected, Briggs & Stratton said they wouldn't do anything unless I took the mower to an authorized service location. There's no way I can send in a photo of the damage, so I'd have to take the whole thing apart just to fit it in my vehicle and drive it somewhere. This shouldn't be this complicated for what should be a quick replacement of a single handle. They need to put out an email address for warranty support, accept photo submissions, and only require in-person visits if they can't figure things out remotely. I'd honestly rather just get my money back.
Eight thousand dollar equipment that's needed its hydraulic system replaced three times in less than five years. The Ferris dealer keeps saying there's no warranty coverage. Quality is declining while prices keep going up. We've bought over fifteen Ferris mowers over the years so we know what normal wear and tear looks like, and three hydraulic failures is absolutely not acceptable. For the hours these run on a commercial operation, this should be completely reliable for several years, especially since we have a five month off-season. Looks like it's time to give SCAG or EXMark a shot and see if they actually stand behind their products. I'm frustrated that I'm looking at another twenty-five hundred in repairs that the manufacturer should cover.
No real people to talk to anymore. You call and there's just an automated system with no way to speak with an actual human being. This company used to be known for being customer friendly and personable, but now it's just like every other huge corporate outfit that doesn't care about anything except making money. It's sad to see what they've become. Competitors like Predator and Tillitson are eating their lunch because those companies still treat their customers like human beings.
