What Shoppers Say About Carve Designs
Carve Designs receives sharply divided reviews, with 1.8 out of 5 from 10 shoppers. A small group of loyal customers praise the quality and durability of the clothing, particularly the compression swim collection and denim, noting that items hold up well over time. However, the majority of reviewers report significant problems including poor garment quality, inconsistent sizing across identical orders, color fading after minimal wear, and unresponsive customer service that refuses to address issues outside narrow return windows.
Common complaints center on delivery and support failures: shoppers report packages marked as delivered that never arrive, unresponsive customer service when attempting to resolve problems, and inflexible policies that deny assistance to customers even when defects appear shortly after purchase. The disconnect between the company's reputation (some customers mention discovering them at REI) and current operations suggests either declining quality control or inconsistent customer care that frustrates the majority of recent buyers.

Sorted by: Most recentThe tracking showed my order was delivered at 11 AM on Saturday, but nobody ever came to my door and I didn't receive it. When I tried calling Carve to check on it, they weren't open. I sent an email but got no response. This is frustrating because I needed that swim shirt before my vacation starts tomorrow.
Love that this company is run by women! I've been shopping Carve Designs for about a year now, starting back in spring 2024 when I discovered their compression swim collection. Since then I've branched out into their other clothing lines, especially their denim which feels amazing. The stretch and structure combination is just right, and their customer service people are genuinely helpful and respond quickly.
I've been a customer for years ever since picking up a pair of shorts at REI and hunting down their website. The quality is really solid and everything holds up great over time. Out of probably 20 orders, I haven't had a single issue.
Ordered two pairs of the Oahu shorts in the same size and style. What I got back were two completely different fits. I sent pictures showing the difference, but they said it was within normal variance and there was nothing they could do.
The bathing suit was comfortable, but the white fabric turned gray after just 6 wears and careful hand washing. I wore it back in summer 2024 but didn't reach out until June 2025 to ask what could be done. Customer service basically said I was outside the 30-day window and wouldn't get any help anyway since it was worn. They claimed white graying is normal, which isn't what I experience with my Target or Tommy Bahama suits. I wasn't even asking for a replacement top, just a discount on the same one, but they were pretty firm about not being able to help.
Their shipping approach is really disappointing. The swimsuit I got was oversized, so I asked to trade it for the right size. Watching the tracking has been frustrating because the replacement went from Arizona to Texas to Indiana to Ohio where it's been stuck for two days now. It seems like they're routing everything by truck across the country. They apparently have a distribution center in Indiana, so I'm confused why my package went through Arizona and Texas when I'm in Maryland. At this rate, summer will be over before it arrives!
This company is a mess. If you try to return jeans, they'll claim they never got them and keep charging you. The pants aren't even sized consistently. I wouldn't bother with them honestly. Service is really bad.
Placed an order for something that never made it to my door. Instead, the post office sent it back to Carve Designs, but they just held onto it without letting me know. A refund only happened after I contacted them directly, which was more than a week after my expected delivery date.
I can't recommend Carve Designs based on my recent experience. Their return policy is way too restrictive and makes ordering swimwear risky when you can't try things on first. The refund window is 30 days from when you buy it, not from when you get it, even though they know the exact delivery date. Plus there's a 7 dollar return shipping fee. After ordering from them multiple times before, this was my first swimsuit purchase. It didn't fit right even though I used their sizing guide. I sent it back within 30 days of getting it but just barely missed the 30-day purchase window, so they'd only give store credit. At that point I didn't want anything else from them anyway. Finding the return policy info was also harder than it should have been. The whole thing left a bad taste, and I'm not interested in trying again.
