What Shoppers Say About Chan Luu
Chan Luu receives overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers, with significant quality and durability concerns dominating reviews. Multiple customers report receiving damaged or broken items upon arrival, with replacement orders arriving in equally poor condition. Shoppers also note discrepancies between product photos and actual items received, describing pieces as thin, cheaply made, and lacking in craftsmanship despite premium pricing. Several reviewers report jewelry falling apart within days of purchase, and complaints about high return fees and unresponsive customer service appear consistently across feedback.
While one reviewer mentioned owning several pieces over three years (with mixed results), they noted that solid gold items held up better than gold-plated options, which customers warn will peel off over time. The majority of shoppers feel the prices are not justified by the quality received, with some expressing frustration about the lack of accessible customer support channels (email only, no phone line) and difficulty navigating return processes.

Sorted by: Most recentGot a large bead bracelet that showed up broken. Requested a replacement and it came damaged as well, completely shattered into pieces. They only offer email support, no phone line. For what they're charging, this kind of problem is totally unacceptable.
The embroidered bandana I ordered was nothing like the pictures. What I got was a thin, tacky square cloth with barely any embroidery on it at all. Their return process was terrible too, hitting me with an eight dollar fee just to print a shipping label and send it back UPS. The whole thing was hugely frustrating and left me feeling pretty annoyed about my purchase.
Over three years I've bought about six or seven pieces from Chan Luu. Some items are really nice, like the diamond slice necklace in 14K gold, but it could definitely be bigger. Their pearls look pretty but feel overpriced. Skip the gold-plated stuff completely because it always peels off eventually. Just stick with costume jewelry if you're not buying solid 14K. Overall, you get wildly inconsistent results. Silver pieces tarnish fast compared to other brands I've bought. I haven't ordered anything in ages since prices are high and the actual materials feel thin and cheap, especially the sterling silver pieces.
I tried posting a review on their website and wasn't able to get it up. That tells you something right there. I paid one hundred thirty dollars for a pair of earrings. The photos look way better than what actually arrived. The pieces feel cheap, they're super thin, and the craftsmanship is lacking. If you want quality handmade jewelry that's actually pretty, check out your local craft fair and buy from an independent artist instead.
Avoid this brand completely. You'll pay top dollar for bottom-tier quality. Customer service is non-existent since they ignore all your messages. I dropped three hundred dollars on a necklace and matching earrings, and both fell apart within seven days. It's absolutely unacceptable. On top of that, they charged my entire purchase to my credit card even though I thought I was using their payment plan option.
