What Shoppers Say About Color The World Lipsticks
Color The World Lipsticks is rated 1.7 out of 5 by 6 shoppers, with significant quality and customer service concerns dominating feedback. Reviewers report recurring issues including refusal to process exchanges or refunds, product quality inconsistencies (such as raised bumps on lipsticks that previously had good formulations), misleading ingredient claims despite natural product marketing, and extended shipping times that contradict domestic origin claims. The few positive comments mention that the lipstick formula itself can feel smooth and hydrating, and that some customers appreciated the brand's charitable support, but these positives are heavily outweighed by problems with customer service responsiveness and inflexible return policies.
Several long-time customers express disappointment after loyalty, noting significant changes in product quality and consistency. A major frustration centers on the company's unwillingness to work with customers on issues such as promotional code application errors, color discrepancies between website previews and actual products, allergic reactions to unlisted synthetic ingredients, and manufacturing defects. The lack of accessible ingredient information on the website and absence of feedback mechanisms on the site itself add to customer frustration.

Sorted by: Most recentI had a promotional code but it didn't apply at checkout. I let them know and they said they won't add discounts after an order goes through. On top of that, the shades I received weren't what was shown and were completely off from what I expected. They refused to exchange them or give me a refund, so they're basically standing by a faulty product. Don't waste your money here.
I've been loyal to their Empowered shade for almost a decade now, ever since I first found them. It's always been my go to mauve with just the tiniest hint of lavender underneath. Recently I ordered three tubes and ran into two major issues. First, all three had these weird little raised bumps covering them, which never happened before. Second, when I apply it there's basically no color at all, it just looks like a nude or plain lip gloss. I contacted customer service and they told me the bumps are normal because it's natural, and they apologized that the color didn't work out. I would've expected them to actually care about quality and back their product but clearly they don't. I'm done with them and would warn anyone else thinking about it that their quality control is nonexistent.
It's hard to find their complete ingredient list on the site, and despite what they claim, these aren't actually all natural. When I tried to return them because I'm allergic to some of the synthetic ingredients, they flat out refused to take them back.
The lipstick itself is pretty good and I've ordered it more than once, but the shipping timeframe is ridiculous. They claim it's coming from the US but I'm getting 15+ days just to see it arrive. Something doesn't add up there and I'm still waiting on my last order.
Wanted to share my thoughts since there's nowhere on their site to leave feedback. I'm a first time buyer and really appreciated that they support charities, so I decided to check them out. I grabbed two dual use lip and cheek products (Bonjour and Natural Glow), the W-Brow in Soft Taupe, and got the RNP day cream as a gift. The cream applies smoothly and smells fine, and I actually love the brow product and might reorder that. But those lip cheek sticks were such a disappointment. The shades looked decent enough but they were super dry and stiff. When you tried to apply them it would tug at your skin, and if you didn't press really hard nothing showed up. Even trying to use a brush to apply them didn't work because they were too dry. Plus I wasn't a fan of the cardboard packaging, which I get is trying to reduce plastic but I think it's what's making the sticks so dried out. I won't be ordering from them again even though it's unfortunate because those colors really were nice and I wanted to like these products.
Picked up three lipsticks based on how they looked when I tried the virtual color tool on their website. One shade ended up way lighter than what showed up on screen. Can't return it since I opened and swatched it. The other two are okay though, they feel smooth and hydrating. I wanted to buy another one of my favorites but it's not available anymore. They seem to discontinue colors constantly, so the shade I liked isn't coming back. Not ordering again because I'm not willing to risk money on shades I can't return if they're not right for me. Pretty disappointed about that.
