Coreldraw Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Coreldraw
Shoppers are overwhelmingly dissatisfied with Coreldraw, rating it 1.3 out of 5 based on 13 reviews. The software itself receives mixed feedback: some long-term users find it functional for their needs, but the majority report serious stability issues including frequent crashes, freezing, and slow export performance. The primary complaint across reviews is the nearly nonexistent customer support. Reviewers describe inaccessible phone lines, unresponsive emails, weeks-long wait times for support requests, and inflexible licensing policies that frustrate business users. One reviewer noted that advertised features like cloud-based sharing and AI design tools require additional paid access beyond what is included in subscriptions.
The few positive comments come from legacy users with decade-long relationships who have adapted their workflows around the software's limitations and see no reason to switch. However, the vast majority of recent reviewers explicitly recommend against purchasing Coreldraw, particularly for businesses, and suggest exploring alternative software like Adobe products instead. The combination of technical instability and inaccessible support creates a strongly negative user experience that overshadows any functional capabilities the software may offer.

Sorted by: Most recentAs someone who's used this software for years, I have to say the actual program works okay, but dealing with their support team has been a nightmare. Getting through to someone real is practically impossible. Phone lines don't work, emails come back as invalid, and support requests just sit there for weeks without responses. When they finally do reply, it's always the same generic message that doesn't help. I had a license problem that should've taken minutes to fix, but instead I spent over a month bouncing between different support people with zero resolution.
The customer service here is really disappointing. They won't sell me a 2021 license and keep insisting I upgrade all my current 2021 licenses instead. Apparently 2021 doesn't work with 2024, which makes it impossible to use. If you're a business thinking about using this company, I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
What can I say besides that I absolutely love this software. I've been using it for more than a decade and I'm not interested in switching to anything newer. It does everything I need it to do. Honestly, I really enjoy working with it.
I've been working with this software for over 25 years because my job requires it. Honestly, I'd pick something else if I could. There are tons of issues, but the biggest problem is how unstable it is. Whenever you're working on anything substantial, the whole program crashes. Just stay away if you have a choice.
This software is pretty mediocre overall. Exporting photos is slow and clunky. The program keeps freezing and crashes regularly. There's no real customer support either. Save yourself the trouble and go with Adobe Lightroom instead.
There's basically no customer service to speak of. The program keeps crashing and the iPad version is basically unusable with constant freezing. I paid for the subscription graphics suite package which advertises 'cloud based sharing' and 'AI' features to help with design improvements. That's not what you get!! You have to pay extra for access to all the vectors and resources. And get this: cloud sharing only works if the other person also owns CorelDRAW, which defeats the purpose of sharing with clients who don't use it. The AI features? Extra cost on top of your subscription!! This is wrong. The company is being greedy and misleading, and it's honestly preventing them from taking over the market. You'd think they'd be ashamed, but apparently not. I'm glad I didn't buy the full version and definitely won't renew. Make sure you read the fine print before signing up!! Customer support is terrible too. I heard from them once, replied to their message, and never got another response.
They told me I had to update the software, so I went ahead and did it. Now I'm stuck because I can't save my work in CD24 without it telling me I need to use V25.1 instead. On top of that, the text and artistic tools have been completely changed. Every time I try to use text, I have to reset the options and remove the outline and background colors again. I'm really frustrated and fed up with this whole situation.
I made the switch from Adobe to CorelDraw Standard 2024 and ran into a major problem. Their comparison page clearly says 'Image rendering in PDF export limited to 150dpi' but doesn't mention that the entire workspace AND all image exports get limited to 150DPI as well. I found this out from Corel Support after the fact. Plus their website says the Standard version is perfect for making certificates, ads, business cards, letterhead, flyers, and posters from templates. Here's the thing: all of those are printed materials that need 300DPI resolution. This is misleading marketing and the software doesn't do what they claim. I had to work around it by combining CorelDraw with Photopaint just to get my print-ready files to 300DPI like they should be.
Really frustrated because I'm unable to access a product I already paid for. My account password keeps getting reset randomly without me asking for that to happen.
The software itself is passable, but the customer service has been the worst I've dealt with. It's been two months since I purchased the full version and it still doesn't work properly. All I get are robotic automated replies and they keep sending me to different departments. The free trial version worked fine, which is why I bought the paid version in the first place. It wouldn't install correctly and the tech team couldn't figure it out. Even after getting a new computer and finally getting it installed weeks later, it crashes the moment I open it. I've been dealing with tech support for 10 days now with nothing fixed, and they even cancelled my latest support session. I'm incredibly frustrated and would rather not use this program at all.
