Apparently they didn't have the items in stock, so why let customers order something not available? This was my first purchase from them through my vet. I'm disappointed and probably won't try ordering from them again.
Look at your bank statements closely. They charged us every three weeks instead of monthly without authorization. One month turned into two billing cycles per month and nobody asked permission for that change.
My problems with Covetrus started in August 2024 when they filled my pet's seizure medication prescription. Their minimum order meant 90% of what I bought had to be thrown away. Less than 30 days after I received it, the solution had particles indicating it was badly formulated. While waiting for them to verify and send a replacement, my pet had a seizure that caused injuries leading to her death. The second prescription they eventually sent also deteriorated over a month before expiration. The day after my pet passed, I got an aggressive email saying my refill was overdue. Their incompetence and careless pharmacy work caused my pet's death. A prescription with a 90-day expiration shouldn't go bad in less than a month after arrival. I'd never recommend this pharmacy.
My vet prescribed Fluoxetine for my anxious cat through Covetrus. I got a reorder reminder email, so I placed an order, but customer service said it was too soon. My cat had to go through withdrawal. When I tried to set up autoship for a discount, I was told I'd already enrolled, so I couldn't get the offer. It took over an hour of back and forth with support to finally place the order at the right price. When I tried again myself, that discount vanished. My vet confirmed they think Covetrus is terrible and said I can use any pet pharmacy. I checked a competitor and discovered Covetrus doesn't provide medication details. The item showed "clicks" as the amount. I asked customer service how much medication that actually is. They had no idea and had to request info from the pharmacist. Still waiting for an answer. What kind of pharmacy doesn't know how much medicine they're giving you? When the pharmacist finally replied, it turns out Covetrus charges nearly double what competitors charge. This confirms my rating.

I finally switched to another company and got two months of meds for $25 less than what Covetrus charged for one month. This was my first time ordering from Covetrus, based on my vet's recommendation. I need large bags of prescription cat food for my 5 cats since the vet's office prefers not to stock them. I ordered well in advance, but my order never showed up. Now my cats are out of their medication, so I went back to the vet and complained about Covetrus. I've sent multiple complaints with no response about when my delivery will arrive. This matters because I'd have to drive a considerable distance to find another supply, which defeats the whole purpose of ordering online. This situation is costing me both time and money, which is completely unacceptable.

Their fulfillment is painfully slow. Placing an order is simple, but getting it to you takes forever with unnecessary delays. I ordered my horse's critical medications on July 13. The vet had to approve it, which they didn't do until July 17. The shipping label wasn't created until July 18, and the package shipped the next day. On July 22, USPS tracking showed the package was just 15 minutes from my house, then it got sent back to Texas. The estimated delivery was July 22, but it was pushed to July 23. When I called USPS, they could only read me what was on their website. USPS won't investigate missing packages until six days have passed. A ten-day lead time should have been plenty, but this took way too long for a medication my horse depends on.
This is hands down the worst company I've ever dealt with. Over the course of five days they made multiple errors on my order, and ultimately sent me the wrong items entirely. Then after they shipped it, they bombarded me with spam emails promoting a 25% sale on what I'd just ordered, and you can't even unsubscribe. I hope this company shuts down because they're absolutely terrible. They've wasted so much of my time already and I'm done.
