I have to thank Ecobee for stepping up! When my furnace started acting weird, the system gave me notifications so I could keep tabs on it from work. I got a technician out and was able to show them the data from my Ecobee, which really helped them pinpoint and fix the issue. Couldn't be happier with my unit!

Thought my ecobee was broken so I ordered a replacement. An hour later I realized the actual problem was the float switch, not the thermostat. I called right away to cancel, and they told me it already shipped. I was told to just return it when it came. That call was October 4. The unit showed up October 12, but it had shipped on October 7 - three days after my cancellation request. When I called for a return label and form, they said it would take some time. Still waiting.
This is garbage. The firmware won't auto-update and mine is six versions behind. Get a different brand because I'm about to throw this thing in the trash. And Ecobee, if you're drowning in support calls, maybe hire more staff instead of leaving customers hanging. Plus the audio quality on the speaker is terrible but they force it on you. Last time I'm calling support before I rip these out and replace them. My place was getting way too hot and nobody answered anyway.
Ecobee removed the thermostat grouping feature without telling anyone. Now managing temperature zones in a multi-zone house is a pain. No heads up, no communication - just gone.
