What Shoppers Say About Elliehello
Elliehello receives uniformly negative feedback from shoppers, with all three reviews rating the store at one star. Customers report significant quality issues with baby monitors, including misleading product claims (such as exaggerated 2K resolution specifications that deliver blurry, pixelated video), technical failures (push notifications ceasing to function, random app logouts), and defective units arriving on delivery. The recurring complaint centers on unresponsive customer support, with shoppers noting that email is the only contact method available and response times stretch to weeks, particularly problematic given the company operates overseas.
Additionally, reviewers express frustration with quality decline compared to older product lines, difficulty obtaining replacements or refunds for defective items, and concerns about the authenticity of customer reviews displayed on the company's website. The consistent theme across all feedback is that Elliehello fails to deliver on product quality, functionality, and customer service standards expected for baby monitoring equipment, a category where reliability is paramount for parent peace of mind.

Sorted by: Most recentGot the Ellie Baby Plus in the middle of 2025 and started using it a few months later. I've been a customer of their older Simshine model for a while, so I was really disappointed to see that this "newer" version is actually a huge step down in quality. The "2K Resolution" they advertise is misleading - the video is super blurry and pixelated. I tested it side by side with my older model at crib height, and the difference is night and day. The older one is crisp and clear, but the Plus model can't even show the text on a baby wipe container clearly. It's basically useless for actually watching your baby. When I got in touch with their support team in early 2026, it was a nightmare. First they claimed it was discontinued so they wouldn't replace it. Then when I sent them actual photos showing the optical problem, they responded with random system logs instead of addressing what I showed them. They're now saying this isn't a "quality issue" and refusing to honor the one-year warranty. On top of that, they're making me pay to ship back the defective product, which shouldn't be legal.
We got the Ellie Smart Baby Monitor Pro back in summer 2023, hoping it would let us keep an eye on our baby with confidence. Unfortunately, the whole experience has been a letdown from the start. After just a few weeks, we noticed push notifications stopped coming through to both our phones. The app kept logging us out randomly, and we had to restart it or reconnect the camera just to get it working again. Even though our home network was solid and we had the latest app version installed, the problems just wouldn't go away. At this point, the monitor won't even turn on anymore. We kept using it anyway because we needed it, but it's been a real hassle dealing with all these failures. When we reached out about a refund or some kind of compensation once the warranty expired, the company basically said no. They threw in a discount code for future purchases, which felt pretty dismissive given how much this device cost us and how unreliable it's been. For a $300 item that's supposed to help keep your baby safe, this kind of performance is just not acceptable.
Don't bother with this company. The baby monitor arrived defective and they completely refused to do anything about it. It took weeks just to get a response since they're overseas, and I had to send multiple follow-up messages to get any attention. Email is their only way to reach customer support. Their website shows customer reviews, but they only display the ones that are 4 stars or higher. Can't say I'd recommend them to anyone looking for a baby camera.
