What Shoppers Say About Elsevier
Elsevier receives predominantly negative feedback from shoppers, with the vast majority citing serious frustrations with pricing, platform usability, and customer support. Reviewers consistently complain about extremely high textbook prices for minimal content updates, unclear inventory and shipping information that leads to unexpected delays, and support staff described as unhelpful or dismissive when issues arise. Access code problems and incomplete digital content delivery are recurring issues that leave students without promised materials.
The small portion of positive reviews praise fast and effective customer support when issues are resolved, though these experiences appear to be exceptions rather than the norm. Overall, shoppers express deep dissatisfaction with the company's business practices and service reliability, with several suggesting alternatives like Amazon offer better value and faster delivery for the same products.

Sorted by: Most recentReally great service. My book showed up within 48 hours in perfect condition! Their support team was fantastic too and helped me fix a silly mistake I made entering my email.
Amazing service overall. Got my book in just 2 days and it was in great shape! The support team was super responsive too and quickly fixed the mistake I made with my email address.
Wouldn't recommend using these guys unless you have to. I've dealt with them for two semesters now and both times it's been really annoying. Their website constantly breaks and throws up errors when I'm trying to do coursework. I accidentally ordered the wrong thing once and their staff said they literally can't do anything about it. They won't let me get in touch with anyone higher up either. If I had other options, I'd use literally anything else.
Genuinely the worst website experience I've had. Using it is so convoluted it'll drive you crazy. Their customer service is painfully slow and doesn't actually help. You're paying at least $500 and getting absolutely the worst experience possible. Wasted both my time and cash.
