What Shoppers Say About Especially Yours
Especially Yours is rated 1.2 out of 5 by 25 shoppers, with the vast majority reporting serious issues. Reviewers consistently describe problems with customer service quality, including rude staff who refuse to help with sizing exchanges or refund requests. Common complaints include non-delivery of items without replacement or refund options, significant discrepancies between catalog images and actual product quality, deceptive billing practices (particularly with deferred billing codes), and a return process that charges customers for shipping while only issuing store credit rather than refunds.
Very few shoppers report positive experiences with this retailer. The rare positive reviews mention past satisfaction with shoes, but recent interactions have left customers frustrated and unwilling to return. Reviewers frequently warn others against ordering from the company, citing poor accountability, unhelpful customer service representatives, and financial losses from unresolved orders and returns.

Sorted by: Most recentLike so many others, I got charged for a return that was supposed to be postage free. They deducted $34.99 and kept billing me even after I never received the merchandise I sent back. I called multiple times but nothing happened. This is straight up theft. Stop sending me catalogs and bills for items I don't have.
This company has the worst business practices around. If you're thinking about shopping here, reconsider. They actually charge you to return items even when they provide a return shipping slip. Their sizing is completely inconsistent. I ordered a size 18 that fit great, so I got two more of the same size. When they arrived, I couldn't even pull one dress over my shoulders. Apparently I needed a size 14 or smaller. Getting my replacement took 2 months which is absolutely ridiculous. And to top it off, instead of refunding my money for the other dress, they forced me to take store credit. I don't want their products at all. Skip this company entirely.
Their customer service is awful. I tried calling every number listed online and either got transferred to the same person or was put on hold and told to call back. That's when I decided I might not order from them anymore. The service reps were rude and unprofessional.
I ordered a suit for Mother's Day and it arrived looking awful. Threads were hanging everywhere and the fabric felt cheap. I spent $170 on something that looked like it cost $25 at most. I emailed for a return label and got one the next day. I shipped it back the following day. Three weeks later I finally got a refund, but only for $135. I called to ask why I wasn't getting my full amount back. They claimed the garment was in perfect condition when they got it and were only refunding me partially. Plus they said the return label they sent me cost $12. The math doesn't add up because $135 plus $12 is nowhere near $170. I asked to speak to a manager and the representative kept asking me for the person's name I wanted to talk to. I told her I don't know anyone at your company, just put me through to a manager. She repeated the same thing over and over and wouldn't transfer me. I just hung up. Do yourself a favor and don't order from here. You'll pay too much and get terrible quality merchandise.
I bought two outfits and returned both because they didn't fit right. I was on a payment plan too. Now they're sending me a bill for the item I returned and offering me a $40 credit toward a new purchase. Why would I want to use my own money as a credit? When I asked if I could just pay for shipping and keep the credit, they said no because it's not their policy. I have a feeling they sold my returned item to someone else but I can't prove it. They need policies that actually help customers, not just line their pockets. I'll never buy from them again. Before you order, think twice. They won't work with you to find a fair solution. They only care about getting paid.
Don't believe what you see advertised. The merchandise I received wasn't anything close to what was described. I had to return it. Their refunds take forever and they slap you with random charges that aren't legitimate. My item never left the box because the color and texture were totally off. According to the receipt, using their return label would cost $9.95 plus $1.00. Seems fine. But my refund came back as only $27.92 out of my $54.79 purchase. When I questioned it, I got attitude and yelling from the person helping me. Stay far away from this company. Total ripoff.
What you see is definitely not what you get. The product looked nothing like the description. I had to send it back. They're super slow with refunds and then they hit you with fake charges that don't make sense. I never even opened the box because the color and texture were completely wrong when I looked at it. The receipt said they'd take out $9.95 plus $1.00 using their label. Cool, right? Wrong. When I finally got my refund, it was only $27.92 from the $54.79 I paid. When I asked about the missing money, the person got rude and started yelling at me. Avoid Especially Yours. It's a ripoff.
I placed an order late at night and a female representative picked up the call. She sounded half asleep, like she was working from home. Not only that, she was unprofessional and had a bad attitude. She kept rushing me and almost got me to cancel. When I placed the order, I specifically said I wanted to defer the payment since the catalog I was ordering from offered that option. Imagine my surprise when I checked my bank account the next morning and saw the charge went through immediately. This company needs to do better at hiring quality people. There's no excuse to be rude to customers who are keeping you in business. When I called the next day, I got the same response that nothing could be done. This is shameful.
I sent back an expensive dress but they shipped it back to me. I called customer service to return it again and they said I'd have to pay for shipping because the return label got lost. Why would that be my problem? You can see from my order that I already paid and I have the dress, which means it was delivered to me. The agent couldn't even look at my account to tell me how much shipping would be. That's it, I'm done.
I got a promotional email from Especially Yours and placed an order the next day, using the promo code from that email. I ended up getting overcharged. I called their billing department multiple times to get it fixed. Everyone I talked to was rude and unprofessional. They called me a liar and said the email didn't exist. Eventually I spoke with someone named Barbara who asked me to email the promotional email. She said she'd look at it while I waited on hold. She never came back. I had to call back 5 more times and spent 3 hours on the phone total. Eventually I found out Barbara had gone to lunch while I was still holding. After 3 more attempts, I finally got her again. She didn't apologize or explain anything, just admitted the email did exist but said there was nothing she could do because it was a marketing error. Two days later I got an email from Karen MacLeod that contained a bunch of customer information from deferred orders. I shouldn't have been able to see that. I'm still upset about how this company treated me, and they never actually resolved my issue.
