What Shoppers Say About FootJoy
FootJoy receives overwhelmingly negative feedback, with 16 shoppers rating the store 1.4 out of 5. The dominant complaint centers on product quality and durability, particularly with the Hyperflex BOA golf shoes, which multiple reviewers report fail or lose structural integrity within weeks to a few months of moderate use. Shoppers also cite frustration with warranty limitations, especially the 90-day window that excludes claims for shoes that deteriorate shortly after. Additional criticisms include perceived declines in overall product quality compared to older FootJoy models and challenges navigating customer service for defective items.
Among the sparse positive feedback, one shopper highlighted exceptional individual customer service from a representative named Chrissy, who proactively replaced damaged shoes and made multiple follow-up calls. This isolated positive contrasts sharply with multiple reports of unhelpful or dismissive customer service responses. Long-time loyal customers express particular disappointment, describing a sense that FootJoy has abandoned the quality standards that earned their decades of repeat business.

Sorted by: Most recentHad a conversation with Chrissy regarding golf shoes I'd gotten from my club that came damaged. She really stepped up, calling me back several times and ultimately sending out a replacement pair at no cost. I'm thrilled with them and definitely plan to order more. Their customer service is genuinely excellent.
This deserves zero stars if possible. Their customer service is appalling. I've been a loyal Footjoy customer for over two decades, and my first pair lasted seven years straight. But I bought two pairs of the hyper flex boa shoes around Christmas 2024. After wearing them just about 20 times, the interior is completely torn up and they refuse to help. They had the nerve to tell me "the shoe is probably too big or too small which is why it's ripping." Seriously? I paid over three hundred dollars per pair and they basically said too bad. I'm finished buying Footjoy.
Got a pair of Hyperflex golf shoes with the BOA tightening mechanism. Ordered size 10 but after a couple months of wearing them, they feel like a size 12. The shoe won't tighten down properly. The BOA system itself has the warranty, not the actual shoe, and while the BOA works fine they'll let me get a replacement to swap in myself (no thanks). I'd steer clear of this shoe and tightening system. The warranty is also pretty weak. I'm stuck with a basically new pair of golf shoes that don't fit right. Might end up as decorations at this point.
Their older shoes like the Contours were fantastic, but I'm really let down by how they keep redesigning everything to chase trends and eliminating great products. It's hard to stick with a brand when they keep making their items worse year after year.
Ordered the Hyperflex model cleats around Christmas and have only worn them roughly 12 to 15 times. Since I'm past the 90-day warranty window, they're refusing to cover it. A hundred dollar pair of cleats that falls apart this quickly is a total rip off. Even Dick's Sporting Goods echoed the same 90-day limit. A brand should back up what they're selling. For that kind of money you should get at least a year of usable wear. Skip these if you're shopping for cleats.
This doesn't feel like the real Footjoy company. They seem to lack the knowledge and professionalism you'd expect from them.
I'm absolutely floored by how bad their customer service turned out to be. I bought shoes in my usual size, the same one I've always gotten with Footjoy, but they ran small. I initiated an exchange and spent fifty two dollars shipping the old pair back. I went online to order the next size, but even though it was listed, they said it wasn't in stock. I found another shoe on the site and ordered that, yet same issue about availability. That's zero for two on items that showed as available. With nothing else I wanted, I asked for my money back. They told me they couldn't refund it. I asked if that meant couldn't or wouldn't, and they said couldn't. Then they suggested I just pick something different or they'd send me whatever they felt like choosing. Can you believe that? A company forcing you to accept their selection to resolve an exchange you already paid fifty two dollars to send back? After going back and forth dealing with the worst service attitude I've ever experienced, I gave in and picked something I don't even want, just to get my exchange resolved. Thankfully that item is in stock.
Purchased an expensive pair of Footjoy Premiere golf shoes that started falling apart 15 months later. The upper material is separating from the sole and the insole padding deteriorated near the toes. Footjoy's response was basically that because they're over a year old, there's nothing they can do. Really disappointing service.
Ordered two jackets but got a cap instead with zero jackets. I've sent multiple emails trying to get answers but nothing comes back. This is really frustrating and I'm doubtful I'll ever see my money returned or receive the jackets I paid for.
