Sorted by: Most recentThat comedy show on June 14th turned out to be the worst performance I've ever witnessed. Fifteen minutes in and I wanted to leave, but my wife thought maybe it would improve. Spoiler alert: it didn't. They didn't even start until after 8, and we walked out by 8:35. I'd invited some friends to join us and I was completely mortified. They had such a terrible time and I felt awful for bringing them. I honestly don't know how this comedian even got booked for a show here. The one silver lining was that we didn't have to pay for it. What a disappointing Saturday night that was.
The whole casino stays really clean and well maintained. I'm local to Connecticut and visit pretty regularly, but this is the second time I've had a bad experience at the roulette wheel. The dealer there has a serious attitude problem, won't answer any questions, and gets snippy when you ask her to place your chips. She makes you sit through multiple spins before she'll even exchange your cash for chips. Barely speaks to anyone and practically tosses the chips around. One of the other players had the exact same complaint. When she's working that table, it's no fun at all. I just skip it and find another dealer.
You really need to make a trip out to Foxwoods Casino if you haven't already. It's an incredible destination for anyone who loves poker, plus the food scene is unbelievable with tons of different restaurants to check out. The shopping options during your visit are fantastic too. Whether you're looking to play games or explore all the dining and retail spots, this place delivers.
This resort is absolutely massive! Honestly feels like a little version of Vegas right here in Connecticut, even with the pricey atmosphere to match. The outlet shopping area is solid, and the entertainment lineup is top-notch, though like everywhere else the best tickets get scooped up by scalpers pretty quick. Our room was spotless, the team working there was genuinely nice and went out of their way to help. Definitely catch the 35-story zipline experience while you're there and grab some food at the Red Lantern because it's delicious. Perfect spot for a quick weekend trip with your partner.
