UPDATE: Changed my mind! Garrett came through and made things right. They contacted me about the mix-up and sent me the correct flavor at no extra charge. Now that's how you keep people coming back. Original: I ordered online and got the wrong tin delivered to me. Placed an order for smoky BBQ and regular cheese flavors but opened the box to find pumpkin spice mixed in with cheese instead. Same day I reached out through their website with photos of what arrived, asking for either a refund, the right order, or some solution. Nothing. Never heard back. The popcorn itself is great when it's actually what you're paying for. At that price point, getting the correct order shouldn't be too much to ask. Check out other customer feedback online and you'll see this happens a lot. I was pretty sure that would be my last purchase from them.
I've been buying from Garrett for years until I tried their Smoked BBQ flavor. They call it real cheese but don't tell you online that it's packed with Yellow #5 and #6 synthetic dyes. My hands got stained so badly I had to scrub them with a brush. The ingredient list isn't even on the website, you have to call to find out what's really in it. When I complained, they suggested eating it with chopsticks to avoid the staining. That's not a solution. When I asked for my money back, they wanted me to send pictures of my stained hands and uneaten popcorn as proof. For what you're paying, the lack of transparency and the way they handled my complaint is unacceptable. If you want actual quality ingredients and honest marketing, keep looking.
Their caramel popcorn is fantastic, but ordering the cheddar flavor was definitely not the move. Still, you gotta respect how long they've been around.
