The chocolates had melted everywhere and the caramel was all over the place, making it pretty much ruined. Only the popcorn and cookies were still okay. For a gift that cost $50 or $60, it definitely wasn't worth it. I think Ghirardelli should refund my friend for this order.
The customer support staff really needs major improvement. Same goes for the technical support team, honestly.
My husband and I spent years driving long haul trucks, and we'd regularly visit the Ghirardelli production facility as part of our route. The whole place smelled incredible and the people there treated us like family every single time. One Christmas they surprised us with a whole case of mixed chocolate bars and they were all fantastic, even the dark chocolate ones which I normally don't go for.

The customer service here is really disappointing. I called twice during their business hours and nobody picked up. When I finally got through on another attempt, I got disconnected after waiting on hold for 10 minutes. On my third try a rep answered. I was trying to place a bulk order for an event that came to $99 and wanted to ask if they'd waive the $9.95 shipping fee since I had a $100 budget. Instead of working with me, the representative was short and rude, then just hung up. Totally unprofessional.
I placed two orders on January 11th after my first attempt didn't go through. The second one went through successfully and I had spoken with a representative who confirmed everything was good. Two days later they just canceled it without telling me anything. I'm really upset because I specifically placed it while talking to their team member and they said the payment was confirmed. Now they're claiming the prices changed and that's why they canceled. This feels really wrong as a new customer, especially since I didn't get any notification. They offered me a 20% discount as an apology, but even with that applied I'd still owe $300 more than my original order. This doesn't make sense.
