A female staff member told me the club specialist didn't start until 10 am, and I said that would be too busy of a time for me to wait. Instead of offering to help or suggesting alternatives, she just turned away rudely and started gossiping with another associate. It wouldn't have been difficult for her to at least ask what I needed, take the grips I had ready, ring them up, and leave a note for the club guy to call me when the work was done. But she clearly couldn't be bothered. Funny enough, she's actually the one who sold me those same clubs at this location. We really need more golf retailers in this area so we have options besides this place.
We wanted to use one of their simulators so we asked about availability. They said some people were coming in at 5 PM. We stuck around until 5:45 waiting, but nobody showed. The whole time there were 3 bays just sitting empty.
Years ago I spent over $1,000 on a set of custom fitted clubs from Golf Galaxy. The manufacturer specifically fitted me for a regular flex graphite shaft, which is what I requested. Recently during a lesson, my instructor mentioned that the shaft was actually a senior flex, which doesn't match my swing at all. Clearly the wrong clubs were shipped to me. I contacted their customer service and got nowhere. You'd think they'd at least offer me new shafts or some kind of discount on replacement clubs, but apparently that's not how they stand behind their products.
Bought one pair of shoes and suddenly my inbox was flooded with endless emails. On top of that, the tracking link they sent me doesn't even work properly. I won't be ordering from this company again.
An employee named John working at a mall location provided absolutely horrible service and was downright rude. When I asked him a question, he answered with zero patience and just said no. Later I witnessed him treating three young kids really badly, talking way too loudly and aggressively at them about scratching some putters. I told him that wasn't the right way to speak to children. It upset me a lot. I reported it to the manager but I'm not confident anything will change. Most of the other staff were nice. Robert in particular was patient and helpful with me, and he was also great when I later purchased a lesson package for my daughter. Robert's professionalism made up for some of the negativity I experienced there, but it shouldn't have to be that uneven.
Overall I've had a positive experience with Golf Galaxy. When I ordered my custom clubs, it took a bit longer to work things out with the manufacturer, but the staff actually reached out to keep me in the loop rather than making me chase them down for updates.
Purchased an e-gift card for my son's birthday to cover 3 golf lessons. Got the card on 12-26-24, and it was supposed to arrive in his email on his birthday. He never received it. I called customer service and they resent the card, which he did get, but I was charged twice. When I called back, they assured me the second charge wouldn't go through. Well, it did anyway. Now I've paid way too much for just 3 lessons. I'm planning to contact them one more time, but honestly I should've picked somewhere else for his golf instruction.
Came in looking to purchase a 3 wood and thought I'd have good luck since the store was pretty empty. I walked around looking at merchandise multiple times but nobody came over to assist me. Meanwhile, I could see a couple of staff members hanging out at the registers just chatting away without seeming to care about customers. This has been the third visit where I've had this experience, so I'm done shopping here. The place used to actually be worth visiting.
I placed 2 separate orders about 2 months ago. Both are still stuck on 'shipped' status, and they've been like that for over a month straight. I've sent multiple emails asking for an update and have gotten absolutely no response. This company doesn't know the first thing about customer service. My advice is to shop somewhere else.
The customer service here is terrible. I ordered a limited edition putter and got confirmation that my order went through. Six hours later I got an email saying the order was canceled. When I called to ask why, they just said it was a glitch on their end and basically told me too bad it's sold out now. I could've grabbed it elsewhere but it sold out within minutes everywhere. I lost out on a great putter and the only thing they threw at me was a $10 gift card worth of points. No loyalty, no real effort to make it right.
