I'd called a week ahead and talked to three different staff members about what I needed, but every conversation left me feeling lost. When we arrived in person, the first employee passed me off to someone else who was already doing a full fitting. While we waited, a helpful staff member named Matthew stepped in and got us set up and moving forward nicely. About 15 minutes later, another employee came over and was incredibly rude, saying we couldn't take floor staff away from their duties and making a huge fuss about it. Matthew tried to explain that helping us was actually good for the store, but the other guy wouldn't let it go. He kept pushing until Matthew had to stop helping us. We ended up leaving without making any purchase. That's a great way to lose a customer spending thousands of dollars.
This is straight up false advertising. I ordered over $1,000 worth of golf balls because they were promoting free 2-day delivery, which should've meant arrival on Tuesday. Instead delivery didn't happen until Friday. This is a major issue because the person getting the balls left town on Thursday, so now I have to pay to reship them myself. This goes way beyond poor service and honestly feels like fraud. If you're using 2-day delivery as a reason to get people to buy from you, then you need to actually deliver in 2 days.
Back in March 2019 I bought a $400 Callaway driver from a store location. Fast forward to October 2020 and the shaft snapped in half. I brought both pieces back hoping the store would help me get a replacement shaft from Callaway or at minimum offer me a discount on a new driver since I was willing to spend several hundred more there. The store manager said he'd replace the shaft for free, which seemed great. But when I picked it up a week later, I realized they'd put in a steel shaft that was 6 inches shorter than my original graphite one, which made the club totally unusable. After reading about other people's negative experiences, I started thinking the manager might've done that on purpose. The next day I bought a new Callaway driver online for way less than what this location wanted to charge me.
Ordered what was supposed to be a brand new club and couldn't wait to get it. Delivery came and I opened it up at home, but that's where things fell apart. Right away I saw scuff marks on the club face, which looked like it had definitely been used. The customer service rep gave me a discount, so I thought things might work out. Then I examined it more closely and spotted a dent on the toe area. I also noticed the included club cover and tool didn't match what should've come with this model. So I ended up with a used club that had damage and the wrong accessories in the box. How a new purchase ships out in this condition is beyond me. I simply wanted to exchange it for an actual new club like I paid for, but the only way to do that is at a physical store. My whole experience has been really disappointing.
Purchased a new Ping driver at the Mt. Laurel location and spent over $500 on it. Turns out I'm not happy with how it performs. When I asked about returning it, they flat out told me no refunds once a club has been hit. Are they serious? I can order golf clubs from online retailers who offer a 60 day trial period and accept returns with no questions asked for store credit. All I wanted was credit toward future purchases, but they refused.
