What Shoppers Say About H2O Wireless
H2O Wireless receives polarized feedback, with shoppers split between those satisfied with affordable plans and those frustrated by customer service failures. Long-term customers praise the $20 monthly plan offering unlimited calls and texts with adequate data for light users, and some report solid coverage. However, a significant portion of recent reviewers report serious problems including billing errors, inability to reach customer service, failed number ports with no resolution, unreceived shipments without refunds, and unexplained account balance deductions. Multiple shoppers describe the customer service experience as nearly impossible to navigate, with representatives unable or unwilling to resolve issues.
The consensus among dissatisfied customers is that H2O Wireless functions adequately if you never need to contact them, but attempting to resolve problems or make account changes often results in frustration and unresolved issues. Those considering the service should be aware that interactions with customer support appear unreliable, and billing discrepancies may be difficult to correct.

Sorted by: Most recentThey overcharged me for my first month and wouldn't give me a refund. Their policy says complaints have to be filed within two days, and since I didn't notice until the end of the month, I missed their ridiculous window. It's genuinely terrible service.
Got charged twice for service. Tried paying with my credit card but it didn't work, or so I was told. A representative said the charge never went through, so I paid again the same day using my debit card. When I asked to speak with a supervisor about the duplicate charge, they said nobody was available. I sent an email and got an automatic reply that they received it, but nothing beyond that. I disputed the charge with my bank, and apparently some rep there convinced the bank that I should pay a third time for the same service. And another thing, the international calling feature they advertise doesn't even work. This shady outfit is a complete mess.
eSim activation takes a full day, but they don't bother telling you that until after you've already paid for the plan. That's straight up dishonest.
Absolutely terrible choice if you're planning to transfer a phone number. Skip calling their support team if you can help it, because my experience talking to them over 78+ hours was nightmarish. I've heard their network has frequent outages, but that wasn't my problem. Bottom line, this is honestly one of the three worst companies I've ever dealt with. There are way better options out there. Just do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.
Their customer service is awful and they keep hanging up on you. I got a new iPhone and needed a different sim card for it to work. That one issue required calling four separate times, which actually turned into seven calls because they hung up on me right away during three of those calls. Only one call went smoothly. It's incredibly frustrating and they never actually solve anything. I waited over 30 minutes to talk to someone today and they just disconnected on me again. Time to find a new provider when my contract ends.
Called them numerous times trying to get a promotion activated. Different agents gave me different answers, some saying it wouldn't work at all. One person offered ten free days and asked for my credit card info, then just hung up on me. Couldn't get to talk to a supervisor because they either claim managers don't speak with customers or they're always too busy. Online chat was the same story. They kept telling me to email instead. The fact that management won't actually talk to customers tells you everything about what this company is really like. Poor service and staff who seem uninterested. Half the time they're just reading from a script without checking if you even understand what they're saying.
Had the pleasure of working with an agent named Ley and she went above and beyond. Super professional, really patient, and clearly knows what she's doing. She's definitely a valued member of your team.
H2O has been an outstanding service for me! I've had their monthly unlimited plan for a few years. I switch between WiFi and data without thinking about it. My data is unlimited and even streaming videos or news throughout the day doesn't slow anything down. The plan caps at 5GB after which it's throttled instead of stopped, but I've never even hit that. Texts and messages overseas work great. There were two times MMS quit working after phone updates, but support fixed it in about ten minutes. Can't speak for iPhone people or those stuck with locked phones. An unlocked international Samsung works perfectly. At $28 a month I get basically unlimited everything. They bumped my rate up about $1.70 after three years. My only real gripe is they outsource support to another country, making conversations tough sometimes. But the techs definitely know their stuff.
