What Shoppers Say About Habit Restaurants
Habit Restaurants has a highly polarized customer base, rated 3.2 out of 5 by 18 shoppers. Half of reviewers give the restaurant five stars, praising the food as fresh, gourmet-quality fast food that arrives hot and flavorful. However, the other half express serious concerns: multiple customers report dry, bland, or undercooked food (including undercooked burgers and chicken sandwiches that were inedible), with some citing health code violations. Additional complaints include overcharging through the app, poor management responsiveness to issues, and refusal to honor advertised discounts or refund money without asking for payment card information.
The divide between five-star and one-star reviews suggests inconsistent food quality and service standards across orders or locations. While some customers find the fresh preparation appealing, others have had experiences severe enough to describe the food as inedible or unsafe. Customer service complaints center on management's unwillingness to resolve billing problems and handle refunds smoothly.

Sorted by: Most recentFinally tried Habit after they opened near us on my son's recommendation. Total letdown from start to finish. We got a char burger with cheese, a fish sandwich, and corn puffs. Both sandwich rolls were completely dry and flavorless. The fish tasted bland and had zero seasoning. Even the burger and toppings were bland. The puffs were fried so hard they cracked like glass when you bit into them. There were seven people working behind the counter and my wife was literally the only customer. Still had to wait eight minutes before anyone acknowledged us. If you don't make major improvements, this place won't last long.
Purchased lunch here on a special occasion to celebrate my son's birthday and the food was completely inedible when we got home. Both the burgers and chicken sandwich were undercooked. We couldn't even finish one bite before throwing them away. This is a serious health code violation and the restaurant refused to give us our money back. Don't risk getting sick by eating at this location. There are better options out there.
Management here is a complete disaster. The food quality is poor with way too many substandard ingredients mixed in. They did refund me but asked for my card which added more frustration to an already stressful situation. The staff and management don't seem interested in solving problems or giving customers advance notice when issues happen, despite being paid well. Prices keep climbing while service keeps declining. This place is the perfect example of everything wrong with customer service today.
This is hands down the best gourmet fast food place around. Everything is cooked fresh to order, arrives hot and tasting incredible. I absolutely love it.
I placed an order through their app and got charged way more than I should have. Three dollars might not seem like much, but I'm on a limited budget and rarely get to eat out. I only ordered because they had a discount available, but when I picked up the food they charged me full price instead. I asked them to fix it and they refused. I tried contacting them through their website multiple times but kept running into issues trying to submit the information. Eventually they got back to me saying they'd send coupons if I gave them my address. I want my actual money back, not more of their food. Eating there hasn't agreed with me anyway. This whole experience made me upset about being taken advantage of. I won't be going back and I'd tell other seniors on fixed incomes to stay away from this place.
The local spot near me never gets my order right. I always get the chicken caesar salad with extra croutons and avocado, but they mess it up almost every time. My last visit had no croutons and no avocado, and they threw in cucumbers instead. After calling corporate for what feels like the hundredth time, I'm done. I really do like the salad itself, but they make me feel like they don't value my business or care about getting things right.
