What Shoppers Say About Hidrate Spark
Hidrate Spark water bottles receive polarized feedback, with shoppers divided sharply between those who appreciate the hydration tracking feature and those frustrated by durability and customer service issues. Positive reviewers praise the bottles as effective motivators for drinking water, with some reporting years of reliable use. However, the majority of recent reviews highlight significant problems: the electronic sensor puck frequently fails after just weeks or months of use, battery deteriorates rapidly, components don't stay properly connected, and the warranty coverage is perceived as inadequate given the price point.
Customer service emerges as a major pain point across multiple reviews. Shoppers report unresponsive support staff, difficulty reaching the company by phone or email, long delays in receiving responses, and refund requests being denied or mishandled despite the advertised 100-day return window. Several long-time customers express disappointment, suggesting product quality has declined. The combination of premature hardware failure and unresponsive support has left many reviewers feeling the bottles do not justify their cost.

Sorted by: Most recentMy HidrateSpark 21oz from a major retailer quit working after a few months. The sensor puck stopped locking into the base properly, and it was clearly a manufacturing flaw. When I asked them to replace it, they denied my claim saying I was outside the 100-day window. I pointed out that consumer protection laws override their warranty anyway. They then agreed to send a replacement, but hours later they deleted my entire support ticket. I opened another one asking for status and attached screenshots of the original conversation. They deleted that one too without responding and logged me out of the app everywhere without any notice. All of this over a $25 part. I've had to escalate this beyond their company.
This company won't fix their app. It's been broken for 2 months straight. If you're thinking of buying just for the goal tracking and achievement stuff, don't waste your time. They keep saying it's a server problem but nothing changes month after month.
Over the years I've grabbed 4 bottles and the puck lifespan has been disappointing. I was dealing with a health situation that made tracking my water important, so I was counting on these to last. One made it to a year, another gave up in less than 6 months. Glad I don't need to monitor it anymore. I still use the bottles themselves though.
Had trouble right when I got it. Took forever for shipping. Got a defective puck. When they finally sent a replacement, it took weeks to arrive. Then the app started acting up. I spent a few days trying to fix it and got nowhere. After months of dealing with this nonsense, I asked for my money back. They told me I was past the warranty period. Like, duh, that's because you took forever to help me in the first place. I'm getting my refund through my credit card company. Sounds good on paper but they can't execute it worth a damn.
This is my second one being sent back because it keeps losing connection. It's ridiculous how much these cost to have this many connectivity issues. I'm not putting money into fixing it again.
This thing stopped working the minute I got it, and it's been broken for 5 months now. They sent me a new charger, but it got lost in the mail when it came back to them. Then they tried again, but the bottle still didn't work with it. They sent out a new puck that never arrived. Now I'm trying to figure out how to return the whole thing and get my cash back.
The bottle worked for like 3 days before it stopped charging. I reached out to support and they said to try a different cable since that's apparently what happens with a lot of these. That tells me this is a known issue, and it's not cool to expect the customer to just have a spare cable laying around to troubleshoot. For something this expensive, you'd think it would be more reliable.
Total garbage. Spent a lot of cash on 2 bottles and only one shows up in the app. Constant syncing issues and the reminders don't work on my phone even though it's brand new. Even worse, they charge you extra in the app just to pick different colors. Just skip this company entirely.
Their customer service is terrible and the bottles come with barely any warranty coverage. I'm talking just 100 days. The hardware starts falling apart way sooner than that, usually around 5 or 6 months in. By the time you need to replace parts, you've basically spent enough to buy a new bottle. You'd honestly save money just grabbing regular water bottles from the store instead of dealing with this company.
