What Shoppers Say About HoMedics
HoMedics products receive overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers, with 24 reviews averaging 1.5 out of 5. The primary complaint centers on customer service failures, with reviewers reporting unanswered emails, unresponsive phone lines, and lack of engagement across all communication channels. Multiple shoppers describe situations where damaged or defective products went unresolved for weeks or months, and warranty claims were denied or ignored entirely. Additional concerns include products that malfunction or fail shortly after purchase, such as non-functional heating and bubble features on foot spas and massagers that stop working within a year.
Beyond service issues, shoppers report problems with product discontinuation and lack of replacement part support. Reviewers note frustration when the company stops supporting older models, rendering products unusable and forcing disposal. While a small minority of shoppers acknowledge that HoMedics makes functional products, this positive sentiment is vastly outweighed by widespread complaints about the company's inability or unwillingness to address defects, honor warranties, or provide basic customer support.

Sorted by: Most recentMy order was marked as delivered but never actually made it to my address. The photos they showed weren't even from my property. I contacted customer service and they just told me to file a claim with my bank. This was my first and last purchase from them. Find a different retailer.
Avoid this company, they have the absolute worst customer service. I ordered a filter for our air purifier and my address somehow got messed up in their system. It was delivered to a neighbor I don't know and when they got it they sent it back to the company. Homedics refused to resend the filter to the right address. Their response was that I'd get a credit once they receive the returned package but I'm not holding my breath. I'm never ordering from them again and you shouldn't either.
Got a Blood Pressure Monitor years ago that came with lifetime coverage. When it died they replaced it but with a model that only had 5 year protection. That replacement stopped working too and now they want the broken one back before sending anything new. It's been weeks and I'm still waiting for a replacement while being without a monitor. Most reputable companies ship warranty replacements right away but not these guys. Their products are low quality and their customer service is terrible.
I bought a humidifier from HoMedics that stopped working after 6 months. They emailed me a prepaid FedEx label and I shipped it right out on January 8, 2024. The broken unit got lost in shipping but since HoMedics is the sender, FedEx won't help me. I've spent hours on the phone trying to explain the situation and how much my 86 year old husband with COPD needs a humidifier to function. Even their supervisor refused to help. I had to go out and buy a different brand instead. Fair warning, their lines always have 5 people ahead of you and they never return calls. You'll wait 30 minutes just to be told they can't or won't assist.
Ordered a seat cushion that showed $29.99 on sale plus shipping and tax on the website. Typed in my information and hit place order but got an error. Clicked place order again and it went through, but I didn't notice the price had jumped back to $74.99. I ended up paying $103 and change instead of around $54. When I asked them to fix it they refused. Super disappointed and I won't be ordering from Homedics again.
Bought a Homedics Humidifier and it started leaking immediately when I first tried using it due to a faulty valve. Called them for help and got a FedEx label on December 18th. I dropped the package at FedEx on December 20th. It showed up at a FedEx location near their warehouse on December 26th and then the tracking just stopped updating. I know this is technically FedEx's issue but when I contacted Homedics, they're claiming they never received it and refuse to send a replacement. Now they're telling me it could take 4 weeks to arrive at their facility. That's absurd! Nobody mentioned that timeline upfront or I would've just returned it to a store for a refund instead. They even admitted that FedEx doesn't always update tracking properly, so why do they even use them? I'm stuck without my money or a working humidifier. They can clearly see in their system that I dropped it off at FedEx with their label, but they won't do the right thing and send the replacement anyway.
I signed up to get a 30% off coupon for their whole site and had to give my email and phone number as required fields. Then I found out the item I wanted wasn't eligible. Nothing in the initial offer said items were excluded, that was only buried in tiny print that came after I handed over my contact info. That feels like a scam to me. Now I get constant spam from them. The whole thing is upsetting. I feel tricked and used. Don't trust this company.
Last time I'm buying anything from Homedics. I have their Pro Massager model at $300 and it's just over a year old. I don't use it much but it stopped working and the motor started smoking. The massage attachment won't move anymore.
I got a Homedics air purifier that my son paid $329 for and it broke after 8 months. When I called the company, which is hands down the worst I've ever dealt with, they said I'd need to buy a $32 box just to ship it back. Why should I pay for that when your product failed? I told them that's ridiculous and they're not standing behind their product. The rep said they don't do that. Are you kidding? Don't buy from them, they won't back up what they sell.
Horrible service overall. I ordered air filters but picked the wrong model since there was no live chat or customer service line available while I was ordering. Now that I need to return them I have to pay $35 to mail them back through UPS while the filters only cost $76. Keeping them is pointless and shipping them back will cost me $35 out of pocket. They refused to cover that fee. Most online retailers give you a prepaid return label but not Homedics.
