What Shoppers Say About Hooters
Hooters receives mixed reviews on RetailCoupons.com, with shoppers rated it 3.6 out of 5 based on 17 reviews. Positive reviewers praise the food quality, particularly wings and ribs, along with the casual atmosphere for watching games and enjoying drinks. Several customers highlight good service experiences, especially at the bar. However, recurring complaints center on inconsistent food preparation and temperature issues, slow service even during slower periods, and occasional problems with order management. Some reviewers report frustration with door policies and staff attentiveness to customer needs.
The high proportion of five-star reviews suggests strong experiences for many customers, yet the significant number of one-star ratings indicates serious service and quality control failures on other occasions. Potential diners should note that experiences vary considerably by location and visit timing, with food quality and service speed being the primary factors affecting satisfaction.

Sorted by: Most recentWhat a fantastic meal with beautiful surroundings. The food tasted amazing too.
The wings are always solid, but getting a refill took forever even though the place wasn't packed. It's a decent spot if you just want some quick food and to catch a game on TV, but don't expect anything too special.
Made a reservation for 13 people for my son's 16th birthday. When we got there, the doorman asked for ID from my son and he showed his new provisional license. The guy barely looked at it and then said my son couldn't come in because he'd apparently had too much to drink already. I mean, seriously? He acted like he could read minds. I was completely shocked. I told him we had a booking for 13 people and explained the situation. Eventually we got in after a few minutes, but that doorman's attitude and how he treated my son totally ruined the vibe of the celebration. He made my son feel insulted by accusing him of drinking and basically judged me as well. If my son had shown up with a bunch of other teenagers, maybe I'd understand the concern, but he was here with his dad. It was pretty awful behavior for a place that's supposed to be family-friendly. Honestly in any other situation I would've said something, but I wasn't going to let that overshadow my son's birthday. The food and service inside were actually solid, but none of us will be coming back or telling anyone else about this place.
The greeting at the door was warm but everything went downhill fast. We got served nachos that were tough and seemed like they'd been sitting out. There was this weird watery layer at the bottom of the plate like something had thawed out. The full rack of ribs came out lukewarm with zero sauce on it, so we had to send it back. When it came back it finally had the sauce it should've had from the start. The boneless chicken was overdone and rubbery. All three dishes were disasters and the only thing we heard was an apology. Worst 60 bucks I've thrown away. Definitely can't suggest this place to anyone.
I travel through Valdosta regularly for work and stay at the same hotel, so I'll often head across the street to grab drinks and dinner at this Hooters after being on the road all day. Tonight I felt a different positive energy at this spot. I always sit at the bar and tonight the service was really solid. One server in particular, Allie, really stood out. She was attentive, had great conversation skills, and was constantly helping the other staff members. I think you've got something special with her. After many nights on the road for sales, I can tell you Allie is different. She's positive, puts the customer first, and gets things done. To whoever runs this Hooters location, pay attention to this. Allie is genuinely exceptional.
Went in during their burger night deal and ordered a medium well. My wife's burger arrived barely cooked. We sent it back but that's when things fell apart. We waited around an hour and when I finally asked what was happening, the waitress told me she'd actually cancelled the order. My wife was furious and we just left. The staff seemed way more interested in chatting with each other than actually helping customers. This isn't even the first problem we've had there. Another time I added a tip on my card and the server changed it without asking, jacking up the amount. My credit card company called me about it. Not going back after three strikes like that.
Their wings and shrimp appetizers are genuinely great. Problem is the service at the two Chicago spots I tried was pretty rough. There's one near Midway and they seated us but nobody took our order for like half an hour, so we bailed and found burgers somewhere down the block instead. The other location by a local mall was better in the sense that we actually stayed, but the waitress was slow with everything and took a while to get to us. The Orlando location was hands down the best experience we've had. Still, overall I love the wings, shrimp, and fries, but those Chicago restaurants really need to get their service together.
Had an amazing experience during Thanksgiving with fantastic service from two standout servers. Haley and Ashley both went above and beyond to take care of us. Haley was especially enthusiastic about the curly fries and made great recommendations. The whole experience was terrific. My friends who were visiting from out of state had just checked into their hotel nearby, so this was super convenient for us to catch up. Everything from the food to the drinks to the hospitality made it a memorable Thanksgiving dinner. Great spot and great team.
Really uncomfortable sexist atmosphere, mediocre food, and a bad time overall. This was at the location in the Oyo hotel on the Las Vegas strip. I was hungry and figured I'd give it a shot since it was my first time there. They told me they were out of malt vinegar for the fish and chips. I asked if they could get some and the response I got was basically I don't know. The fish was terrible and really needed that vinegar. There was a Warriors game playing on one of the screens but text was covering up the action. They said the hotel controls the TV feed so nothing they could do. I just left. The way the women are treated and dressed up bothers me, feel bad for them honestly. The food sucked, the sound system was too loud, the sports coverage was bad, and it cost me 28 bucks for dry fish. This place doesn't deserve any higher rating. Just skip it.
Just want to say there are more great times to visit beyond early August. Our server at the South Side location, who we call the queen owl, is absolutely stunning. She's got model looks, amazing eyes, and a fantastic tan to match. Her smile is genuinely sweet and she's so laid back and cool about everything. What really stands out is how aware she is of her tables and she always notices when guests arrive. Super pleasant to chat with and really easy to talk to. She's got a great personality too. Keeps her uniform looking sharp and her station spotless. Really goes the extra mile, stays on top of things, and genuinely cares about people. She's naturally talented at serving and makes your day better even if you're in a rough mood. Really professional and knows her stuff inside and out.
