The replacement gift card was worth 169 dollars, but when I added a cable to my order, that cost me another 10 dollars for something I didn't actually need. This whole recall process feels like a rip-off.
Their customer service doesn't exist. They sent me a faulty battery pack which they later recalled. All they gave me was a tiny gift card with no option to replace or repair the item. Nobody responds to your messages and you just get ignored.
The support team was completely useless when FedEx misplaced my package for over two weeks. When I finally got it sorted out and received my charger, I discovered they'd shipped me a European power cord instead of a North American one.
Only way to make this company face consequences is through legal action or government intervention. It's basically a Chinese operation manufacturing defective merchandise. Their quality control should have easily caught these problems.

I bought two products. Neither of the HyperDrive GEN2 models, whether with or without power, would work with my multi-monitor setup. I kept having to disconnect and reconnect the cables repeatedly. I tested the same monitors and cables on another computer where they worked fine, so I knew the issue was with the hubs. Eventually I replaced them with a different brand and everything worked perfectly. The premium price doesn't match the quality. Also, requiring a Twitter or Facebook login just to post a review on their website is sketchy. And then demanding you set up a YOTPO account is even sketchier.
Stay away from this company if you can. I wish I'd read reviews first before giving them my money. I bought a HyperDrive SOLO 7-in-1 USB-C Hub that was terrible and didn't function properly, so I initiated a return and followed their process exactly, shipping it back through the postal service. Three weeks went by with no update on my return, then they claimed the package arrived empty and refused to refund me, which makes no sense. I'm convinced they're lying to avoid issuing refunds. I will never shop here again.

My hyperdrive for my iPad Pro quit working, so I reached out to customer service with my purchase details and a photo showing the broken blue LED light. After several attempts, the rep asked me to send the unit back, but I'd already thrown it away in frustration. All they offered was a lousy 15 percent discount, which is basically nothing. Save your time and money and look elsewhere.

Update: the ticket number was in their system but honestly working from home shouldn't mean longer response times if they have the same staff. The real problem isn't delayed replies though, it's the attitude, refusal to respond, and complete lack of appreciation for longtime customers. I've been buying from them for about a decade and even backed six of their crowdfunding campaigns. After my recent experience I'm absolutely done with them permanently. Their products aren't the premium quality they advertise, and the price is way too high compared to what competitors offer. Several items have broken on me, which brings me to the worst part of this company: their so-called customer service is the absolute worst imaginable. They're incredibly slow to get back to you and when they finally do, they clearly don't want to help. They show no respect or loyalty for customers and basically say too bad, go buy something else. Recently one of their chargers literally popped and started smoking when I plugged it in, and their approach was completely dismissive and unhelpful.
