Jason’s Deli Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Jason’s Deli
Jason's Deli receives polarized feedback, with shoppers divided sharply between strong detractors and satisfied customers. Recurring complaints center on management behavior, with multiple reviews citing rude or disrespectful managers, alongside issues with food quality (dry sandwiches, unexpected ingredient combinations like pineapple in chicken salad), pricing concerns, and unresolved promotional offers (gift card bonuses not being credited after weeks). A few reviewers praised individual staff members for friendliness, but overall service execution and managerial conduct appear inconsistent across locations.
The low average rating of 2.5 from 14 reviews reflects significant operational and consistency problems. While some customers likely return for specific menu items or deals, the combination of poor management interactions, food preparation issues, and unresolved customer service matters suggests systematic problems rather than isolated incidents. Shoppers considering Jason's Deli should be aware that experiences vary considerably by location and that promotional offers may not be honored as advertised.

Sorted by: Most recentWent to the location on Mason Road for lunch and watched the manager yelling at one of his employees right in front of customers. I've never witnessed an adult be so disrespectful to someone like that. It was incredibly rude. If staff gets treated this way by management, what does that say about how they'd treat us? I couldn't stay because I was too upset for that young employee.
I ordered a New York Yankee sandwich with just bread, meat, and cheese, no mustard, no dressing of any kind, and no pastrami. Who serves a sandwich on completely dry bread like that? The mac and cheese was disgusting and definitely not worth what they charged. Don't go here unless you want to be let down. There's a real New York deli in Denver that's way better. I'm from New York and Jason's doesn't come close to an actual deli.
Purchased a salad at the location in Naples and tipped over three dollars. Then I asked if they had a bigger plastic container for some extra toppings I already bought. The staff checked with management and came back saying it would be three fifty for a small container. I couldn't believe they wanted to charge me extra for just a container when I'd already spent money there and given a generous tip. I ended up buying it, handed them five dollars, and they suggested putting my change in the tip jar. Seriously? They should have just given me the container free after I made a purchase. That's how you build customer loyalty, not nickel and diming people. Not going back and I'm making sure everyone knows about this experience.
The person at the register was really helpful and friendly. Unfortunately the manager wasn't so great. She came across as rude and unprofessional the whole time. I wouldn't suggest this location to anyone else.
Bought two hundred dollars in gift cards specifically because of their advertised offer to add twenty dollars to my account. It's been four weeks now and every single time I've tried to use that twenty dollar bonus, they tell me their system isn't working. This is really frustrating. I only made this purchase because of that promotion, and I still haven't been able to access my reward. If you're going to advertise a deal like this, your system needs to actually support it. I expected better from Jason's Deli. Please fix this or give me another way to get what I was promised. Customers shouldn't be left hanging after spending their money.
I tried their chicken salad sandwich by mistake and it was totally inedible. Why would anyone put fruit chunks in a chicken sandwich? There was actual pineapple mixed in there. I'm just not into chicken salad made that way. If you're thinking about ordering their chicken salad sandwich, I'd skip it.
Ordered a large Caesar salad with grilled chicken. The portion looked tiny and the greens seemed wilted. The quality at Jason's has really declined over time. I'm not planning to go back there anymore.
Word around town is there's a mold situation with the food here. Apparently they're still serving meals even though they know about it. I've always really enjoyed eating here but now I'm really hesitant about coming back. When are you going to prioritize food safety and deal with this mold issue?
We've been regular customers at Jason's Deli for many years now. We just moved closer to the location near Southside Boulevard in Jacksonville. The food is always fresh and reasonably priced. We especially love the salad bar because it has an amazing selection of toppings and is constantly being restocked. The kitchen crew, cleaning staff, and people at the register all work really hard and are super friendly.
