Julian Bakery Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Julian Bakery
Julian Bakery receives predominantly negative feedback from shoppers, with 9 reviews averaging 2.0 out of 5. The most common complaints center on product quality, with multiple reviewers reporting that bread, granola, crackers, and protein bars taste bland, unpleasant, or poor in flavor relative to their premium prices. Shipping delays are another recurring issue, with customers reporting waits of three weeks to a month before orders ship, and products requiring immediate freezing upon arrival. The no-return policy generates significant frustration, particularly when shoppers receive products they cannot consume; while some customers report that customer service occasionally approves returns, others describe unresponsive support that ignores phone calls and messages.
A small minority of shoppers (22 percent) rate Julian Bakery positively, suggesting some customers find value in the products. However, the overwhelming majority of reviews indicate that customers do not recommend the bakery due to the combination of poor taste, high prices, slow fulfillment, restrictive return policies, and unresponsive customer service. Long-term customers report inconsistent product quality, with previously satisfactory items arriving bland or degraded in recent orders.

Sorted by: Most recentI would give this zero stars if that was possible. Wish I'd read the other complaints before placing my order, but I didn't do my homework this time. The loaves tasted absolutely awful, so bad that I threw them straight in the garbage after one bite. Shipping takes forever too, and with their no-return policy, you're stuck paying premium prices for something you can't even get rid of. Honestly, I'm skeptical there's actually a real bakery making this stuff. The packaging looks like it comes pre-made from some factory somewhere else. I wouldn't even give it to my dog. Their location is in an industrial area, which is suspicious for a bakery operation. Something feels off about how they operate. Skip this place completely.
My daughter spent around $100 on various items from their selection, including bread, granola, and crackers. The three of us tasted everything and literally had to throw it away because it was absolutely terrible. When my daughter tried to send it back, she noticed their return policy specifically states they won't accept returns based on taste. I understand Julian's Bakery wants to serve people with special dietary needs, and I appreciate that goal. But I think the company leadership should realize that keeping customers coming back is what makes a business last. We'll be shopping somewhere else for grain free bread that actually tastes good.
Orders sit around forever before they ship out, and they should tell you upfront that you need to throw the bread straight in your freezer when it gets there. I ended up with six loaves that needed to be frozen immediately, but my freezer was full. On top of that, the bread itself tastes like nothing but fiber, and the prices are way too high for what you're getting.
Really frustrated with how customer service handled my situation. I've been buying from them regularly for years and always get the same protein bar flavors. My last shipment of sunflower nut bars came in and tasted completely bland, even though I've ordered them before without issues. They finally agreed to let me return them for a refund, which took some convincing. I sent back 32 bars and it's now over two months later with still no credit applied. I've sent multiple emails to management but haven't gotten any actual answers.
Placed two separate orders and both were problems. The first one took a whole month to arrive, and the second has been sitting for over three weeks now. When I checked the tracking information, it shows they still haven't even handed the package off to the shipping company yet.
This stuff tastes like soggy cardboard mixed with something rotten. Customer service won't pick up the phone, won't respond to messages, won't do anything to help. Complete waste of time and money. Don't order from here.
Really happy with my experience. The stuff arrived quickly and the prices are fair. Their monk fruit sweetener is the best option around for ordering to the UK. Got my order from the US in just six days. Not sure why so many other people are complaining.
I genuinely don't get why people are saying bad things about this company. For those of us who can't have whey protein or want to avoid artificial ingredients, their egg white protein powder is absolutely perfect. I've been purchasing from them for years and stick mostly to their protein powder and granola. Haven't run into a single problem with anything I've ordered.
