This has been the worst experience. I placed an order a week ago and haven't heard a peep since. When I finally called to check on it, they told me the order got cancelled without any explanation.
The product quality is okay, but their marketing after you buy is absolutely relentless and never stops, which is honestly pretty weird. I've blocked their phone calls and emails because unsubscribing apparently doesn't actually work.
The actual steak quality was good on my first order, even though I had to deal with some issues getting it delivered. But my second order turned into a nightmare. The customer service person was incredibly rude with a mean attitude the whole time. Then my package got messed up by the shipping company and never showed up, and Kansas City Steak knew all about it. After tons of back and forth emails, I finally got my refund, but the worst part was the customer service rep never even apologized or said sorry for anything. When I called back and spoke to a supervisor, she didn't care at all and just said the shipping company lost it. When I asked if they could throw in some kind of gesture to make up for the hassle, she basically said tough luck. Why would I ever order from them again? That's some pretty cold and pathetic customer service right there.
We ordered on December 13th and were told it would arrive by December 21st at the latest. By December 20th, the order still hadn't shipped, so we reached out to customer service and they told us it had already shipped but the tracking info just hadn't come through yet. That was a lie. It didn't actually ship until December 21st. Because of all the holiday chaos, it was on the road for 6 days and didn't arrive until December 27th. The dry ice in the box was completely gone and the meat looked really questionable. The biggest problem was that customer service straight up lied to us about it being shipped. We would've appreciated if they'd just been honest and told us it hadn't gone out as planned and would be delayed.
