What Shoppers Say About Lakeside Collection
Lakeside Collection has received overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers, with 1.3 out of 5 based on 23 reviews. The most serious complaints involve unauthorized recurring subscription charges appearing on credit card statements months after initial purchases, products arriving significantly different from website photos (dull, discolored, or misrepresented), and billing discrepancies where customers are charged more than the advertised price or see conflicting totals between confirmation emails and order pages. Customers also report difficulty reaching customer service, broken tracking links, and unresolved return processes despite multiple contact attempts.
Among the small number of five-star reviews, some shoppers appear satisfied with their purchases, though positive feedback is minimal compared to the volume of complaints. The pattern of issues spanning from product quality misrepresentation to billing practices has led multiple reviewers to state they will not order from the company again, with some characterizing the operation as sketchy or fraudulent.

Sorted by: Most recentPlaced an order in March and put in my correct email. Got the proper confirmation right away. When the items arrived they looked nothing like the photos on their website, dull and discolored compared to what was advertised. I decided to return them. I contacted Lakeside twice over two separate calls with two different reps about my return over two weeks ago. One rep I told flat out that if I didn't get a return label I was going to dispute the charge instead of calling back again. That's exactly what I'm doing now. The company must have seen my dispute notice because instead of just sending me a return label for the simple return process this should have been, they sent me an invoice for the same items I already paid for and want to send back. With no email address on file there's no record of my return requests, but I'm documenting everything now.
Used to be a loyal customer but that changed fast. Their customer service is awful and the recent stuff I've ordered has been disappointing and feels fraudulent.
Ordered something from this company back in November 2021 for around $17.66 using a credit card I hardly touch. Fast forward to July 2024 and I'm checking my statement more carefully. Turns out ASC Lakeside has been hitting me with a $14.95 monthly subscription charge since a few days after my initial order, something I definitely never agreed to. Over 33 months that added up to $493.55 in charges. They eventually agreed to cancel but only refunded $149.95 after 10 months and wouldn't budge on the rest.
This is just another sketchy operation that doesn't care about customers. They don't have USA-based reps and trying to talk to anyone is a hassle. They also call demanding you give out financial information and settle charges. The company went bankrupt and even then it took 3 to 4 months to receive anything. Awful in every way.
Stay away from this company, they've gone downhill fast. I placed 2 orders the same day in April, one for about $130 and one for roughly $23. Come May 7th they charged my card for the smaller order but not the bigger one. Got an email saying it shipped but the tracking link was broken. Tried putting the tracking number into FedEx, UPS, and USPS and nothing came up. By May 10th, a month after ordering, still nothing. Called Lakeside multiple times and was on hold for at least 40 minutes each time but nobody ever answered. When I looked for other ways to reach them I discovered I'd been locked out of my Lakeside Perks account with no way to contact anyone for help. Sent several emails with no replies. Eventually I had to cancel my credit card that was being charged monthly by Lakeside and get a new one. I keep getting their advertising emails even now.
Never ordering from Lakeside Collection again. My confirmation email showed a total of $18.10 with $6.99 shipping and a $3.00 surcharge, but when I check my order it says $18.30 total with $9.99 shipping. According to their own chart I should only pay $6.99 for shipping on my order amount, yet they charged $9.99 which is way above what I should owe. There's no mention of this carrier surcharge anywhere. If I'm already paying for shipping, why did it take over three weeks to arrive? I'm convinced they're using the slowest mail option possible and pocketing the difference in what I paid versus what it actually costs. They advertise that you save on shipping when you buy more, but that's the opposite of what most companies do.
Got taken advantage of for over a year. Called, used chat, sent emails trying to cancel the membership but they just kept charging. I have all the proof and communication history saved. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM OR SIGN UP FOR ANYTHING. I know they'll just copy-paste some generic response, but I did reach out multiple times and they never helped me cancel or took the charges off. Only acceptable response is a full refund for the entire year they kept billing me.
Ordered a toy for Christmas on November 23rd. They claimed it shipped on December 7th but really they just made a label. As of December 13th it still says the carrier is waiting for the package. That's 20 days with no actual shipment. This company is done as far as I'm concerned. Plus their customer service isn't based in the US and neither are most of their products.
First problem was they automatically enrolled me in the Lakeside Perks program and hit my card for $14.95 with absolutely no notification. I only caught it when reviewing my credit card bill and had to fight to get it removed. Then I called about a return but never got a label sent to me, so I had to call a second time. Their shipping fees are already outrageous, and if you need to return something they charge even more which makes it basically impossible to get a refund. The actual product is nice but their service and processes are terrible. There are way better companies out there.
