What Shoppers Say About Living Social USA
Living Social USA is rated 1.5 out of 5 by 21 shoppers, with the vast majority expressing serious dissatisfaction. Reviewers report persistent customer service failures, including complete unresponsiveness to emails and messages, unresponsive vendor partners who fail to show up for services, and difficulty obtaining refunds. Additionally, shoppers cite restrictive return windows that don't account for shipping delays, technical errors that result in duplicate charges, and a general lack of accessible contact methods (no phone number or chat support).
The small number of positive reviews suggests some shoppers have had acceptable experiences, but these are vastly outnumbered by complaints describing what reviewers characterize as scam-like practices. Common issues include payment problems, vendor no-shows on contracted services, and an inability to reach customer service for resolution. Given the overwhelming pattern of unresolved complaints and lack of company responsiveness, potential shoppers should weigh these concerns carefully before making purchases.

Sorted by: Most recentNot going to complain here. Actually had something unexpected happen today. Based on everything I've been reading, I expected the worst. But my issue got taken care of in a single call with genuine kindness and real professionalism. I've dealt with plenty of overseas customer service reps in the past who struggle with English, but this person was different. He was clear with his explanations, professional in how he handled things, and actually wanted to help. It was refreshing to have something positive to say about my experience. Thanks for making my day better.

Their 'Experience' deals are a terrible value. These require you to book with the vendor, but they oversell them so much that you can't get an appointment during the deal window. You're stuck either paying full price later or losing money. Stay away from any experience deal that needs scheduling.
Got a voucher for carpet cleaning that supposedly covered my area. Called to book and got told they don't service my location. Requested my money back but only got deal bucks as a credit. When I tried using the deal bucks to buy something cheaper than the credit amount, it kept asking for a credit card even though I already have a credit. Checked my card info and it's all current and fine. Tried with another card, same problem. Even tried PayPal, nope. Clearly something's broken on their end. Called their number and got connected to someone who just hung up on me. Called back asking for a supervisor and had to wait over an hour. Called again and got the same endless holding pattern. When someone finally picked up, they wanted my credit card details but said they can't issue refunds, only deal bucks. I'm out $45 and stuck.
I'm furious. Their support basically doesn't exist. I feel completely ripped off. Bought a voucher for golf instruction and when the instructor ended up traveling, they refused to give me my money back. They blamed me for not canceling within seven days as if it was my responsibility. Their reps are trained to make you feel guilty like the problem is yours when really they're the ones keeping your cash. It's unbelievable they're allowed to do this to so many customers.
I bought a voucher but the merchant refused to honor it. Trying to reach them is a nightmare because all I found was an FAQ section that just loops around. Eventually I gave up because it was too frustrating.
Losing it over here. The site keeps saying I have zero vouchers even though I bought them. Then they email me about how my vouchers are expiring soon but won't let me use them. Says it can't verify them but somehow shows me what I ordered. These were gifts for people and I couldn't give them because redemption wouldn't work. Tried calling but they were closed for the holidays. Can't even unsubscribe properly even though I've tried three times. Still getting emails multiple times daily.
I'm done with them. They don't stand behind the products they sell. I purchased a voucher for a service, that vendor shut down, and they refused to do anything about it.
Their service is basically unreachable if you need help fixing something. A computer glitch caused me to be charged twice and I should have gotten a credit back on my card, but they gave me deal bucks instead. Since I've had problems with merchants before, I don't want deal bucks. Their website contact form rejects my messages saying my phone number is invalid. When I finally get through on the phone after waiting forever, customer service can't do anything to help.
