What Shoppers Say About MacKenzie-Childs
MacKenzie-Childs is rated 1.1 out of 5 by 18 shoppers, with the vast majority leaving one-star reviews. Shoppers consistently report severe customer service failures, including unresponsive support staff, refusal to help with damaged items, and difficulty reaching the company by phone. Multiple reviewers describe receiving damaged merchandise and encountering resistance when requesting refunds or replacements, with some claiming the company changed final sale policies mid-dispute.
While one reviewer noted that the products themselves are of good quality, this positive observation is vastly outweighed by complaints about the ordering and support experience. Common issues include long shipping times, items arriving damaged or discolored, unclear or changing return policies, and an overall lack of willingness to resolve problems. Shoppers advise caution about ordering directly from the company due to these persistent service issues.

Sorted by: Most recentBought the Sterling Check 2 Quart Tea Kettle for 149 dollars. The handle won't stay up anymore and it's a safety issue when I use it. The customer service was bad - they don't care about standing behind their expensive stuff. The rep told me handles and rivets can get loose over time, making the handle droop. That was basically it - they said they can't help because it's normal wear. I've never bought anything in this country where a company won't help with poor quality products. Don't buy from them. Try somewhere else.
Their customer service hasn't improved at all. I really wish I'd read reviews before ordering. I've placed 3 orders - the first was fine, but the second and third in the same month were disasters. There's no phone number, and when they supposedly called me back, they didn't leave a message or number. The number they called from said they don't accept calls and to email instead. I emailed multiple times and when the order finally came, something was missing. They told me it was still processing. A week later and still nothing. You'd be way better off buying from Macy's or Wayfair where they actually have customer service you can reach.
Their customer service is honestly one of the worst I've encountered. Ordered something on September 16th and nearly a month later most items still haven't shipped. You can get the same thing on Amazon delivered tomorrow. When I asked customer service about canceling, they just told me to wait without any timeframe. Never been this stressed buying something online. Don't use them if you need anything for a birthday - it won't arrive until months after. Plus they charge you to return things.
Got a broken clock in my order and tried emailing about it. Nobody picks up the phone and they don't respond to emails either. This was seriously the worst online purchase experience I've had.
Worst service I've dealt with. Last time I ordered, it took weeks and months to get everything. One box that took forever to arrive - I had to call for it or I might not have gotten it at all since they didn't even know it was missing. Some items weren't packed right and looked like they'd been tossed in randomly. Something's seriously wrong with that company. Ordering from them again was a mistake. Hoping to actually receive my stuff sometime this year.
What happened to this company? It used to be great but not anymore. I placed a big order with outdoor furniture and it took almost a month before stuff started arriving. First two chairs showed up marked made in China, wrapped terribly, with bent frames, tons of scuffs, deep gouges, and missing paint in spots. Since MC doesn't have a customer service phone line anymore, I had to email back and forth. I sent photos of the damaged chairs and haven't heard anything. Still waiting on the rest of the slow order. I'm not hopeful at this point since they're using cheap, careless manufacturing overseas. It's sad how much this company has declined. Customer service clearly isn't a priority for them anymore. Just skip them.
Clearly they charge these crazy prices to pay for all their legal fees. If something goes wrong with what you buy, good luck getting any help from them.
