What Shoppers Say About T-Mobile USA, Inc.
T-Mobile shoppers express sharply divided views, with ratings concentrated at the extremes. Some customers praise exceptional in-store service and knowledgeable staff, while others face significant issues with device unlocking policies (requiring year-long waits), unclear refund processes with inconsistent customer service information, and difficulties with account and service management. Common frustrations include perceived price increases over time, overseas customer service representatives with limited product knowledge, and inflexible policies that create hardship during travel or device issues.
Recent experiences highlight service inconsistencies: while some report outstanding assistance from knowledgeable staff members, others struggle with refunds that remain unresolved despite conflicting explanations from different representatives, network locks that render phones unusable, and poor call center conditions that impede communication. Several long-term customers cite dissatisfaction with changes following corporate merger activity and the transition of customer support operations.

Sorted by: Most recentMy phone has become nearly impossible to use on mobile data because it's locked by the network. I've been trying to activate a different eSIM but T-Mobile says I have to wait a full year to unlock it. This situation is really disappointing and basically makes my phone unusable for quite some time. The whole experience has been pretty rough.
I want to talk about what I'm going through with this carrier. I purchased a phone on October 8th and it came on October 10th, but the delivery didn't work out. That's fine, but now I'm supposed to get refunded for 174.74 dollars and customer service keeps giving me different answers. One person told me it's being processed while another said it hasn't even started. This whole situation is stressing me out. They've stopped replying to my messages and I just need my money back so I can buy a working phone. Please, someone help me!
These plans used to be competitive, but I keep seeing the rates climb higher and higher. The constant increases are pushing me to look at other options out there.
The service I got was outstanding. One of the staff members was incredibly knowledgeable about phones and provided top-notch assistance. Definitely worth visiting. Would rate it 5 out of 5!
I've been a customer for years, long before the merger happened. Now customer service has moved overseas and when you call, that's where you get routed. The reps there don't seem to know much about anything. Plus, the background noise is terrible - it sounds like you're calling into a loud nightclub with all kinds of commotion going on. I called three separate times and it was the same situation every time. I needed to know if their international calling plan covers Spain and the representative couldn't answer, put me on hold for over 15 minutes, and never came back. A different rep earlier basically asked if I lived overseas and couldn't help either. I've reached out to support before and always got real help without being transferred elsewhere. This company is going to lose customers if they don't fix this customer service disaster.
This is hands down the worst wireless provider I've ever dealt with. I misplaced my phone while traveling overseas and they told me I had to travel all the way back to get a replacement activated. It's completely unreasonable and makes things incredibly difficult for customers. Stay far away from this budget carrier - they make life much harder than it needs to be.
Switching my service was a breeze thanks to the help I got this morning. The staff member who assisted me was fantastic - really went the extra mile to get everything set up even when we ran into a couple of minor issues with my area code. She stayed upbeat and cheerful through the whole process. Her friendliness made the whole experience way better. I'm really happy I made the change today.
The prepaid SIM option is really solid. The pricing won't break the bank, the overall quality is dependable, and the signal strength performs well.
Something strange started happening - when I call numbers I've dialed many times before, I get a message saying the person doesn't want to receive calls from someone blocking their number. But I'm not blocking anything. Metro never did this to me. T-Mobile came in and took over Metro through what seems like a corporate buyout, and I'm honestly disappointed in how they're running things. If I'd wanted T-Mobile service in the first place, I would've signed up with them directly.
