I wish I could give them zero stars, but unfortunately that's not an option. I put out my music through another distributor, which has been solid, but Apple Music has been incredibly frustrating. They keep turning down my album artwork! They specify the requirements themselves: 3000x3000 pixels, under 10mb, no blur or pixelation. It feels like whoever runs this division has no idea what those specifications actually mean, or maybe they're intentionally trying to tank the platform. I hired professional graphic designers and even tried AI-generated covers that passed every technical check. Then they rejected those saying they couldn't accept the AI watermark from the platform used to create them. Are you serious right now? They're literally rejecting a digital watermark that's part of the copyright protection. Artists shouldn't have to deal with this aggravation. I'm done fighting with them and have decided to stop submitting to Apple Music entirely. We artists have every right to choose other platforms. Why would we use a store that doesn't seem to respect what we do? They need us as much as we might need them. To other musicians out there, now's the time to consider alternatives. There are plenty of other distribution channels that actually value and support artists. We deserve better treatment.
