What Shoppers Say About Carote
Carote cookware receives highly polarized reviews, with shoppers either very satisfied or deeply dissatisfied. The main recurring complaints center on durability issues: customers report that the exterior coating flakes and smudges off within weeks, the nonstick surface develops gray discoloration and becomes difficult to clean, and plastic components peel during normal use. Multiple reviewers also experienced significant problems with orders placed directly through the brand's website, including non-delivery and unresponsive customer support. A smaller group of satisfied customers praise the cookware's performance, appearance, and quick shipping, though these positive experiences appear to be the exception rather than the rule.
The stark difference in experiences suggests potential inconsistencies in product quality or fulfillment depending on where and how items are purchased. Shoppers considering Carote should be aware that many reviewers describe the cookware as failing well before expected lifespan, making it a risky investment at any price point. The website ordering issues present an additional concern for customers hoping to buy directly from the brand.

Sorted by: Most recentTerrible experience. Used them once and they already looked discolored (white set).
Got a beige cookware set as a wedding gift and it's already in rough shape. After just a year of normal use it looks burnt and heavily stained, though things got noticeably worse starting around the six month mark. I'm holding onto my current set and delaying buying replacements because I'm hesitant about getting the same brand again.
We got a white set with bamboo handles and lids. After about five weeks of cooking the lower portion of the handles that face the flame got scorched and looked terrible. The insides of the white pans also got heavily stained. It's actually a beautiful set visually but has real design problems because the handles sit so low they catch fire on our gas range, and the staining is severe even when you're cautious. I contacted support and they quickly offered to replace it and sent a new set in three days, which arrived as promised. I'm giving three stars because their customer service response was surprisingly good, but I won't buy again. The product just doesn't hold up.
Ordered two Carote cookware sets through a retailer and when they arrived, one came packaged properly and the other showed up without any handles. I reached out to the seller who connected me with the manufacturer. After exchanging several emails where I provided photos of the unboxed set and specified I needed 2 handles, the communication basically went nowhere. Two weeks passed without hearing anything, so I followed up asking for an update. The response asked me to clarify how many handles I needed, even though I'd already explained this multiple times with evidence. At that point I decided it wasn't worth the hassle and sent both sets back.
I've been really impressed with how these pans perform. The small frying pan was so good I bought the larger one with a lid next. I went with the nonstick option in white granite that's PFOA free and works on any cooktop type, then added the large saute pan with a lid. Considering getting the full set. They have a high end appearance, cook beautifully, no harmful chemicals in the coating, need almost no oil, and nothing sticks. While they can't go in the dishwasher, they clean so effortlessly by hand that it's not an issue. Really happy with them.
These pans have been fantastic so far. I was so pleased with my first smaller skillet that I went back and bought a larger one with a lid too. Both are PFOA free and work on all cooktop types. Everything cooks perfectly in them, no harmful chemicals, barely any oil needed, and nothing sticks. They're not for the dishwasher but they wipe clean so easily it doesn't matter. Thinking about getting the full set. They feel premium, look beautiful, and perform great.
Got the 10 piece cookware set and couldn't be happier with the quality and performance.
I was interested in getting a Carote pan set, but the negative feedback I've been seeing around here has made me reconsider my decision.
The idea of stackable nonstick pans that save space is appealing. The reality disappoints. They do stack but the undersides are rough so you need to put protection between them to prevent scratching during storage, something the care instructions don't mention. The real problem is how badly stained the frying pan gets. I've never burned anything in it, never used metal tools, never scrubbed it, and never put it in the dishwasher yet look at how discolored it is. Only had the set four weeks. Even the pans I've used just for steaming vegetables are stained. Emailed the company but no response. Got a reply saying white pans naturally darken with extended use and I should cook on lower heat and just wipe them clean with water. But the manual doesn't warn about darkening after normal use and I don't consider five weeks long term use. One pan is terribly stained. Any good cook knows you adjust temperature based on what you're cooking. I know how to clean a pan. Fortunately these came through Amazon who actually understood my complaint and gave me a refund.
