What Shoppers Say About NOBIS
NOBIS receives polarized feedback, rated 2.3 out of 5 by 12 shoppers. Positive reviews praise the brand's customer service team, noting that representatives are patient and helpful when handling exchanges and resolving issues. However, the majority of negative reviews center on consistent quality control problems, particularly with fur trim that sheds excessively after minimal wear, and confusion around sizing that is not clearly explained. Some shoppers also report difficulty reaching customer service by phone.
The brand appears to struggle with product durability and fit consistency. While some customers appreciate the design and service interactions, the prevalence of complaints about fur shedding and sizing inconsistencies raises concerns about whether Nobis offers reliable value compared to established competitors in the outerwear category. Shoppers considering a purchase should carefully review sizing guides and fur trim specifications before ordering.

Sorted by: Most recentFur Trim Is Complete Garbage Skip any parka from Nobis that has fur trim. I purchased one with fur around the hood last winter and on day one of wearing it, the fur started shedding everywhere in big chunks. My shoulders and the coat were covered in loose fur. I thought maybe it was just extra from manufacturing but after a few wears the fur kept coming out and the trim around the hood looked totally beat up. I reached out to customer service and they asked me to send the fur in for inspection, which I did at my own cost since I'm in the States. They came back saying the fur was fine and there was nothing they could do, then they shipped it back to me. I own several items with fur trim from other brands and nothing has ever shed like this before. Their customer service was unhelpful and dismissive throughout the whole process. I won't be ordering from them again.
Perfect Spot To Hang Out We've been coming here for about 3 years when we visit the city, and it's honestly become our favorite gathering spot. Whether we want to grab a quick coffee, have a longer conversation, relax, or enjoy a nice meal with drinks, this place delivers every time. The staff are welcoming and helpful, and the location and scenery are fantastic. What I really appreciate is that unlike many similar spots, the staff here won't pressure you to order food or drinks once you're seated. They're happy to help you figure out other places nearby if you want recommendations. Fair warning though: when it gets busy on weekends, it fills up quick, so definitely show up early if you're planning to go then.
Can't Even Get Through on the Phone Their customer service line just rings and nobody ever picks up. I was looking to try Nobis as a fashionable alternative to the big names like Canada Goose. I wanted one of their heavy-duty long parkas but the fit wasn't right for my build. The fur trim on the one I got looked rough and messy. I let it sit overnight hoping it would fluff out but nope, didn't help, so I returned it. After trying Nobis instead, I found what I was looking for. Not many people know about this brand even though they started back in 2007. I was set on getting a long coat, and I found one without any fur that's windproof with a reversible design. One side is a puffer and the other side is waterproof. I haven't been able to find anything like that from other brands like Fjallraven in the same temperature range with that kind of versatility. I've been wearing this coat for three winters now, even when it drops to 10 below or lower with wind chill. The waterproof side is definitely my go-to. I can stay warm in just a t-shirt and pants in freezing weather wearing this, which is impressive. I got their lightweight hat too through one of their campaigns and I wear that even though it's synthetic. Really solid performance winter 2022 onward.
Poor Interaction With Staff My experience with the staff member I spoke with was really negative, and honestly, I was let down by the whole thing. I'd recommend checking out more established jacket brands like Canada Goose instead.
Solid Brand With Sizing Issues I actually had a really positive experience with their team. Their customer service reps were super patient with me when I needed to exchange a coat where the tag got ripped off, it got caught in the zipper and the thread snapped. The frustrating part is that their sizing is really confusing and not well explained. Each coat fits differently and they don't make that clear enough when you're shopping. At the end of the day it's a solid brand, but it's unnecessarily hard to figure out which product is going to work for you.
Can't Say I Didn't Warn You I really do feel bad for everyone who's had trouble with this brand, but honestly, I'm not surprised in the least. I keep asking myself how this company is still even in business. For years now they've been pushing out subpar merchandise and somehow people keep buying it. It's wild to me that they're still operating with all these problems.
Skip This Brand Altogether This company is a total mess. The jackets are way overpriced and the way they treat customers is awful. Just go with a brand that actually knows what they're doing and avoid giving these people your money.
Bad Service and Quality Issues Customer service has been basically nonexistent. I sent an email two weeks ago and still haven't gotten a response. I tried leaving a review on their site about my experience, but it never got posted because it wasn't a five-star review, which is pretty telling. The jacket itself is nice looking but way too expensive for what you get. When mine arrived it had a thread about three inches long dangling from it. If I'm paying that much money for a coat because of the high price tag, how does it leave the factory like that? It seems like they don't actually care whether customers are happy.
Top Tier Winter Coats These jackets are seriously the best. They're built really well and keep you incredibly warm. The people helping you out are great too.
Extremely Disappointed With Black Friday Purchase I grabbed a parka from Nobis during last year's Black Friday sale. I've bought from them before and was happy with my previous Nobis jacket, so I thought I knew what to expect. When the package arrived in a nice box, I was excited, but that quickly changed once I opened it up. The fur around the hood was absolutely terrible. I've literally seen better looking fur on a rodent. The trim was messy, uneven, and completely pointless as far as function goes. For a brand like Nobis, this was shocking and honestly made me question their whole operation. We used to rely on Nobis jackets at work, but this experience has forced us to reconsider that decision. It's sad when a company that's supposed to stand for quality starts cutting corners on their products. If you're looking for a winter coat, check out Woolrich or Canada Goose instead. Their customer service team didn't even seem to care when I brought it up. I wonder if ordering from outside the country meant they just sent me whatever was lying around. I got my refund eventually, but I had gone out of my way to hunt down that specific jacket, and it turned out to be a huge letdown.
