Nutricost Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Nutricost
Nutricost receives predominantly negative feedback from shoppers, with a 2.0 rating based on 24 reviews. The most consistent complaints center on product quality and lack of transparency regarding testing. Multiple reviewers report requesting certificates of analysis (COA) to verify product purity and strength, with the company either refusing to provide them or delivering inadequate documentation that only confirms the absence of contaminants rather than confirming actual potency. Shoppers also cite slow order processing (with some orders taking two weeks without shipping), unresponsive customer service, and undisclosed return fees that contradict advertised guarantees. Several reviewers report testing products themselves and finding they do not perform as advertised, particularly supplements like niacin, multivitamins, magnesium, and creatine.
A small number of reviewers give positive ratings, though notably these customers report purchasing Nutricost products through third-party sellers rather than directly from the company website, citing better pricing and faster shipping. This pattern suggests that while some customers appreciate the products themselves, they have little confidence in Nutricost's direct retail operation. The overwhelming sentiment is that the company markets heavily discounted supplements without maintaining quality standards or providing the transparency and customer service that supplement buyers expect.

Sorted by: Most recentBe wary of ordering from this business. I called them about whether their L-theanine was fermented and they claimed all information was available on the label, which turned out to be incorrect. Regret buying the potassium chloride. Requested a certificate of analysis for their testing and they outright refused. This review is meant to make clear that profit matters more to them than customer health. Waiting for a response to another email I sent after they denied the COA request. If they provide it I might change this, but don't expect much.
I'd be cautious with this company. Asked them about whether their L-theanine was fermented and they said everything was on the label, which wasn't true. Really disappointed with my potassium chloride purchase. When I requested a certificate of analysis for their products, they straight up refused. It's clear their priority is making money rather than helping customers, even if it means risking your wellbeing. Still waiting to hear back on my follow-up email after they declined to provide the COA. Will update if they come through, but don't count on it.
My package never showed up. Tried calling and emailing but they kept saying I had to wait two weeks after the last tracking scan before getting a refund. I placed my order November 11th and it's now the 27th with no package and no money back. Definitely be cautious before ordering from them.
Customer service basically doesn't exist, and their website is broken. They'll take your money with no problem, but trying to reach someone there is impossible. Emails just sit there unanswered, and the phone line just says nobody's available and asks you to leave a message so you can't even talk to anyone. Plus the website glitches out. I wanted protein powder and chose a specific flavor multiple times, but it kept putting Chocolate with artificial ingredients in my cart instead. Couldn't get the order stopped and couldn't reach anyone about it. I'll delete this if they actually fix things, but I'm not holding my breath.
The prices are hard to beat and the products work well. Never had any real problems with Nutricost stuff. Looking at some of these other reviews, seems like people don't understand proper storage or how supplement testing actually works. Most supplements don't go through intensive testing because making health claims gets companies shut down by the FDA. I've used tons of their different products: Fish Oil, Vitamin B-Complex, Melatonin, Magnesium, Pre-workout. Everything has been solid.
This brand is not trustworthy at all. Their products disappointed me and their customer service is awful. These negative reviews are legitimate. Other retailers like eBay, Amazon, and iHerb should reconsider carrying them since their bad reputation hurts everyone selling them.
They ship through UPS and it came back to them. They tell you to go fill out a form on the website but there's no form there. Can't reach anyone by phone, you just get told to leave a message and nobody calls back. I'd recommend going somewhere else.
Took their magnesium glycinate starting in August and developed awful morning headaches and nausea that went away only after switching brands. Found reviews on Amazon from people reporting identical side effects. Not doing business with them anymore and discarded my remaining full bottles of Lysine and Mag Glycinate to be safe.
Started taking their magnesium glycinate back in August and got really bad headaches and nausea every morning. Those symptoms didn't stop until I switched to another brand. Saw other people on Amazon saying the exact same thing happened to them. I'm done with this company and threw away the rest of my bottles of Lysine and Mag Glycinate because I didn't want to risk it anymore.
Unhappy with their customer service experience. Emailed them the same day I placed my order when I realized something was wrong. More than a week went by with no response. They only sent a generic template about returns and wouldn't actually address my specific concern. Now I'm fighting it through my credit card company. They deserved a negative review for their failure to help.
