Sorted by: Most recentDefinitely don't trust this company. After I purchased their vest, I realized there's actually no way to submit a review directly on their site after buying, which is really suspicious. It makes me think they're either posting fake reviews themselves or they're blocking anything that isn't five stars. The vest I got was incredibly uncomfortable. I'm on the taller and thinner side, and it was digging right into my ribs the whole time. The whole design just feels poorly thought out. I had to send it back and ended up paying $20 in return shipping fees. Don't waste your money on them.
This is unacceptable. I've ordered their tights from them twice now and haven't gotten either pair. My first order with them went fine, but this second time around they shipped to an old address from my records. You'd think they'd be careful about the address you provide with your credit card payment, but apparently not. They've blamed me for their mistake and completely refused to resend the tights. I've tried reaching out four separate times and they keep refusing. This is hands down the worst customer service I've ever encountered. Don't give this company your business.
I'm waiting to hear back from customer service before I finish my thoughts on this, so I'll probably update this later. For now, here's what I've found with the G-Vest. The good stuff: it fits snug, works well when you're moving around during exercise, looks sleek, and the tightening system is pretty functional. It could be a solid addition to your workout routine overall. But there are some real problems: The fit could be way more adjustable. The shoulder strap increments feel like they're either way too loose or way too tight with nothing in between. When it's positioned higher, it pinches at the bottom of your stomach, and if you move it down to avoid that, it limits how much your back can move. The chemical smell is absolutely awful. Whatever they used to make this thing off-gasses like crazy. After working out in it, I feel genuinely sick from breathing in those fumes. It's unavoidable when you're wearing it for extended periods. Even after sitting it out for over a week right next to an air purifier and wearing it almost daily, the chemical stench is still there. I can't use it for long because of this. The weight capacity is another letdown. You get 8 to 10 pounds, and there's no way to add more weight unless you buy their other weighted gear. Once your body gets used to it, it becomes too light. And then there's the cost. These products are pricey, really pricey.
