Sorted by: Most recentHad an amazing day experiencing Polynesian culture! We visited the Polynesian Cultural Center for the whole day and it was fantastic. We got there early so we grabbed lunch at Pounders before the village performances kicked off. The hamburgers were really good. We made our way through all 6 villages and caught the shows at each one. The Fiji village performance was our personal favorite, though honestly everything was worth watching. For dinner we ate at the Gateway Buffet and the food was solid for that type of setup. After eating, we took the Tram tour out to the Laie & Temple Visitors Center which was a nice addition to the day. But the real showstopper was the "Ha: Breath of Life" show in the evening. This was seriously one of the most impressive performances we've seen, with well over 100 Polynesian performers on stage, including several BYU students. The show follows Mana, a Polynesian boy, as he grows up and experiences the various island cultures throughout Polynesia. It was truly spectacular. The fire dancing portion at the end was the best part - the performers came really close to the audience and you could actually feel the intense heat from the flames. We had such an incredible time at PCC and would recommend it to anyone.
