What Shoppers Say About Potbelly Sandwich Shop
Potbelly Sandwich Shop receives sharply divided reviews on RetailCoupons.com. Shoppers who rate the store highly praise the fresh ingredients, quality sandwiches, and exceptional customer service from staff members. These satisfied customers report returning regularly and appreciating the quick service and attention to detail.
However, the majority of reviews express significant disappointment with meat quality, portion sizes, and order accuracy. Common complaints include sandwiches that are mostly bread with skimpy fillings despite paying extra, meat products that taste artificial or low-quality, orders missing requested items or substitutions, and preparation issues like overseasoning or incorrect cooking methods. Several reviewers state they will not return and plan to share negative experiences on social media.

Sorted by: Most recentEvery time I visit my local spot, the staff is fantastic and the food is always fresh. I stop by regularly when I need a quick, quality sandwich. Can't ask for better service.
I ordered the Prime Rib steak sub and I'm pretty skeptical it actually contained real meat. It tasted like cheap microwave banquet food with artificial grilling flavor chemicals that lingered for hours afterward. Whatever meat product and binder they use held together fine, but the overall quality was nowhere near what I expected. Not impressed at all.
The rib eye steak sandwich had way too much seasoning on it. Plus the employee forgot to include the side sauce I specifically asked for. I won't be going back there again.
Just got my sub and it's practically all bread. I paid extra for double mushrooms and cheese but hardly got any. I also paid for cucumbers that aren't in here. This is the second time now and I'm done. I'm going to let everyone know on social media how bad this place is.
Breakfast here costs way more than anywhere else. You can't customize anything or ask for substitutions if you want something different from what's listed. I ordered very soft bacon and eggs but got hard, rubbery bacon instead. They only have strawberry jelly, no other options. Really let down and won't be back.
Great place to eat! I stopped by the Winter Park location on a morning in January and got a veggie sandwich. The staff Anthony, Katrina, and Jayson were outstanding and went above and beyond to help us. They were friendly and reasonable, making sure we got exactly what we needed. The veggie sandwich was fantastic and had awesome spice to it. Everyone in my family loved sharing it. These folks really know how to take care of their customers.
Someone hacked into my Potbelly rewards account and used my points fraudulently. When I called corporate to report it, they told me to contact my local store, which makes no sense since the store has nothing to do with app security. Thankfully I didn't have a credit card saved or I'd probably have even bigger problems. Potbelly's response was really disappointing and their app security clearly needs major improvements.
Ordered a regular sandwich but got a skinny one instead with missing ingredients. The mac and cheese was awful, tasted like cafeteria food. The evening crew seemed unmotivated and had poor attitudes. Everything about this visit was disappointing.
I was visiting Chicago by train and found an amazing Potbelly location on Canal Street. I spent almost ten minutes checking out all the options before settling on the chicken avocado wrap and chili. The shop is small, spotless, and welcoming. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The food was incredible. I ordered two wraps thinking I was hungry, but one would have easily been enough. The chili was so good I ate most of the second wrap too. The place is clean, pleasant, and the quality of food is outstanding. I left my card in my hotel room with a note for other guests to visit this spot. This Chicago location really represents the best of the city.
Had a skinny roast beef sandwich previously that was decent, but today I ordered a regular size since I couldn't find the skinny option on the app. The meat was overly fatty and I kept spitting it out. The onions were barely cooked and tough. Today's sandwich was completely inedible.
