Got a turkey sandwich right before Thanksgiving and ended up getting really sick afterward. Pretty sure it was spoiled mayo.
Had one of the worst experiences at a location here in Texas. I watched an employee pick up a cookie that fell on the floor, brush it off, and then sell it to a customer. Really disgusting and unacceptable. This place is terrible.
A family member went to get 6 sandwiches and 3 soups at 8 PM. They didn't get a warm greeting when they walked in. When they placed the sandwich order, the staff member made a sarcastic comment and pushed back. My relative had to remind them that they were open until 9. Three sandwiches were supposed to have the spicy peppers on the side, not on the sandwich itself, but all of them came soaked in it and sloppily made. After calling to report the mistake, the manager argued and insisted nothing went wrong and that my family member was exaggerating or lying. This location needs serious training on customer service and respect. We won't be returning and will definitely tell others to go somewhere else where they're actually appreciated. No attempt was made to fix the problem or make it right.
I've been trying to reach their customer service team but they never respond to any of my messages. I'm going to have to dispute the charge with my credit card company and file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau.
After Potbelly updated their app and rewards system, I earned enough points for a free sandwich but accidentally redeemed for a salad instead because the new app wasn't clear. The salad was disappointing anyway since our location was out of the mixed greens. I contacted them through their website in early February with no reply. I've reached out multiple times on their website and social media since then and it's been a month with zero response from anyone. It's frustrating that a company with customers ordering multiple times a week won't acknowledge complaints. I'm not going back until they get their act together.
For these prices, the quality is really not there. You're getting barely any meat on top of thick, stale bread. Not worth the cost at all.
My daughter was at a volleyball tournament in Wisconsin and ordered a chicken salad from Potbelly through a delivery app. While she was eating, she bit into a large metal staple in the salad, which chipped her tooth, caused some bleeding, and made her throw up. She sent me photos of the staple in the food and her receipt. I filed complaints with both the company and the FDA in mid-February, including all the evidence. As of late February, neither the corporate office nor the FDA has responded. This is completely unacceptable on the part of the CEO and management.
I keep coming back to this Wilmington location because the staff is honestly some of the nicest in the whole area. They have genuine smiles and always help me out with questions, even when I'm being indecisive. Nobody here hesitates to go the extra mile or get someone who knows the answer. I've only ordered what staff recommends and I haven't been disappointed yet. If you're thinking about trying this place, just do it. You won't regret it. The only downside is if you forget to grab something extra to take home later, but that's on you! This is my new favorite restaurant. Seriously, great job to everyone there.
The Wilmington location staff is some of the best around. They're always genuinely smiling and willing to answer any question I have, no matter how many I ask or how long it takes. If they don't know something, they'll go find out or get someone who does. Every sandwich recommendation they've given me has been spot on. Can't recommend this place enough. Seriously, you should check it out at least once. Just make sure you grab something extra to take home because you'll want it!
