Rastelli’s Fine Foods Reviews
What Shoppers Say About Rastelli’s Fine Foods
Rastelli's Fine Foods receives overwhelmingly negative feedback from shoppers, with the vast majority reporting serious quality and safety concerns. Customers consistently describe meat products as having poor texture (rubbery chicken, tough steaks), minimal flavor, and sizing issues (small burger patties). Multiple reviewers report experiencing food poisoning symptoms and gastrointestinal distress after consuming products, with complaints that customer service dismisses these concerns rather than addressing them seriously. Prices are frequently cited as excessive relative to the poor quality delivered, with shoppers noting they could purchase comparable products at local grocery stores for significantly less.
Beyond product quality, a secondary pattern involves unresponsive or inadequate customer service. Shoppers report emails being ignored initially, slow responses to complaints, and cavalier dismissals of legitimate food safety issues. The combination of substandard meat quality, potential food safety failures, high pricing, and weak customer support creates a pattern that leaves reviewers unwilling to purchase from Rastelli's again.

Sorted by: Most recentI ordered the 24 count reserve burgers and was really let down. I won't be getting them again. These are tiny flavorless little patties that cost a ton of money. For what you're paying you'd expect a lot better. Really disappointed with this one.
I prepared two boneless chicken breasts from Rastelli's yesterday and they had the texture of rubber. I could hardly cut through them even with a steak knife.
I spent about $140 on a roast beef through QVC for Thanksgiving and it was honestly not that special. I could have picked up something similar at my local grocery store for way less money. When I tried reaching out to Rastelli's, my first email got ignored completely. After sending a second one with my complaint, they finally responded asking for details I didn't have. They said they care about customer satisfaction but all they offered was to note my complaint and check on the next order. Why would I bother ordering from them again?
I cooked one of the four beef top sirloin steaks when they arrived and got seriously sick afterward with bad stomach issues. I sent them an email explaining I thought the meat was contaminated. Their response basically brushed me off and suggested top sirloin sometimes tastes weird and it's normal. They offered to send replacements from a different batch but made it sound like the problem was on my end. They mentioned being inspected by the USDA but that doesn't mean much when customers are getting sick from the product.
The chicken I received was absolutely terrible. It had such a poor quality that I couldn't even eat it and ended up throwing most of it away.
Got the rotisserie chicken wings from QVC and opened the first package to find some strange fluid leaking out. I made them in an air fryer but they tasted and felt off. After eating just two pieces I had stomach problems for three days straight and tossed the rest in the trash.
I bought an expensive grass fed beef primal cut that came fully frozen. I thawed it according to their guidelines and it smelled horrible like sulfur and was clearly bad. The meat had to have been packaged in that state already. When I contacted customer service they basically said oh well. That was their whole response. Super disappointed. They market themselves as a high end specialty shop but really they're just running a massive operation. Don't waste your money.
We've been ordering from Rastelli's for years, including their meats and seafood. Recently we got steak burgers through QVC that arrived warm and completely spoiled. QVC told us they'd resend them in time for Memorial Day, but they never showed up. A week goes by, then another, and we still don't have our order. Customer service says Rastelli's acknowledged the reorder and it'll take a few days to find out what happened. This isn't our first problem either. Plenty of times our frozen shipments arrive thawed or warm. It's frustrating seeing Ray Rastelli on TV constantly promoting guaranteed delivery dates that apparently aren't being met. The company really needs to use more dry ice when shipping to places like Texas via regular ground service.
I ordered a 7 pound prime roast through Costco for Christmas dinner and it showed up on time, but the packaging was a mess. There were three holes in the inner wrapping and meat juice had leaked everywhere, then refroze into little frozen drops. Now I'm stuck trying to figure out if we can get another one before Christmas. We've always loved their lamb in the past, so this was really disappointing. Both Costco and Rastelli's keep passing the buck to each other about who's responsible. Waiting to hear back from them to see what happens next.
