A top I got is so oversized I'm drowning in it, and I followed their sizing guide before ordering. Plus shipping costs are steep, which makes me second-guess placing orders at all. Then there's returns. I'm still waiting almost three weeks for a return I sent via UPS to show up in my account. No confirmation email, no updates, nothing. When returning, you either get refunded to your original payment method which might cost you money, or you get store credit. You've also got two return methods: drop it at a local dropoff location, or box it up and print a label for $10.99. In my case that was over half the price of the item. Shop somewhere else for your clothes and shoes.
Since the discount stores shut down, I've been buying my plus-size clothing from Roamans even though their prices are four times higher than what I used to spend, and the shipping and return costs are awful. I placed an order for four pairs of slacks during a sale with a free shipping code and only received three items. I submitted a replacement request FOUR separate times, but got back what looked like automated responses saying it was under review. Eventually they told me to file a claim through a third-party protection service. That service's email doesn't work anymore and their online form won't accept my email address or order number. The pricing, customer service, and return policies here are absolutely terrible. Zero stars.
Absolutely fraudulent operation. Their ordering system charges your card which triggers fraud alerts from your bank. Once you resolve that, they keep your card number flagged as rejected. Then when you call to fix it, they make you redo your entire order, run the card again, reject it, and push you toward applying for their store credit card. This exact thing happened to me over a decade ago and again recently. This company has zero integrity and I'm done with them forever.
I honestly wish I could give zero stars. I ordered boots and got charged for them, but instead they shipped me a purple jacket in size 4X. The boot invoice was in the package, so the picking and shipping team definitely messed this up. I've now talked to two different customer service people trying to get my money back, but they won't refund me until I return the jacket they sent. Yeah, I'll send it back, but it's terrible business practice to hold my payment for a completely wrong order while I fix their error. I've been waiting three days for a supervisor to call me back after asking multiple times. I will not recommend this company and won't shop here ever again.
This place sends out defective merchandise and covers it up by slapping new labels over old ones, cheating customers in the process. I received the wrong item and when I asked them to send the correct one faster to fix their mistake, they refused. Even after I sent photos of the problem, nothing changed. They simply don't care.
The actual clothes are decent but watch out for this sneaky practice: they'll sign you up for a membership rewards program you never agreed to and start charging you every month whether you order anything or not. That's straight-up theft wrapped in questionable marketing. This company cannot be trusted. Stay away.
Their exchange system is ridiculous. I bought something on my Amex and when I exchanged it, they charged my store card instead and gave me a credit. Then I exchanged again and they charged my store card but this time no credit showed up. Where did my Amex payment go? Customer service has no clue what's happening. They keep you on the phone for an hour then disconnect you and you're back at square one. Now my bank is hitting me with late fees for money I never owed. This whole company and their affiliated brands are running a scam. I've been dealing with this mess from last fall through spring and can't get anywhere.
I just received a top that was supposed to be taupe and it's this awful dark tan color. Roaman's used to be fantastic about fifteen years ago. Now they have basically no quality control whatsoever. The styles are just plain ugly. Those tunic tees they sell have V-necks that plunge way too low. If the people running this place looked at the beautiful, well-made items I bought twenty years ago, they wouldn't even recognize their own company. I've tried giving them another shot here and there over the years, but they refuse to improve so that's it for me. It's like talking to a wall trying to get them to understand anything.
I ordered a minimizer bra, a 36DDD. This thing is clearly a cheap knockoff of what it used to be. Don't buy it because the shape is all wrong, making your chest look pointy instead of actually minimized. Pointy isn't what you want in a minimizer. They discontinued the original and these new versions are garbage. But here's the absolute worst part: the total shipping is $25.98. That's $14.99 to get it and $10.99 to send it back. This is a total rip-off. I'll never order from here again. Try other places instead that actually care about quality.
